Mobile kiosk for intelligent securable devices system
A system and method of controlling a securable device may include establishing a centralized data repository with data representative of status of each securable device. Communications with a mobile kiosk executing on a mobile device of a user may be established. Responsive to receiving a request from the mobile kiosk to identify an available securable device local and accessible to the user, the centralized data repository may be accessed, at least one securable device that is available may be identified, and data associated with the identified available securable device(s) may be communicated to the mobile kiosk to cause the mobile kiosk to communicate at least a portion of the data to one of the securable device(s) to provide access thereto. Responsive to receiving a status update of the securable device accessed from the mobile kiosk, the centralized data repository may be updated with the status update.
ASSET MANAGEMENT DEVICE WITH AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION DETECTION
An example device includes: an enclosure; a plurality of drawer units supported in the enclosure, each drawer unit movable between an accessible position and a secure position and comprising: at least one divider configured to divide an interior of the drawer unit into a plurality of compartments; a selectively securable compartment door for each of the compartments; detection elements configured to monitor the connection points; and a control system configured to: determine, for each drawer unit, a compartment configuration; and in response to an access request: identify a designated drawer unit and a designated compartment based on the determined compartment configuration for the designated drawer unit; and release the compartment door for the designated compartment to allow access to the designated compartment.
REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM
An all-in-one, keyless-entry, proximity system, in the form of an attractive line of adjustable and customizable, one-size fits-all finger rings, configured to wirelessly lock and unlock doors and other locks, such as home, automobile, or pad locks, upon approach. Convenient, space saving, and virtually impossible to lose, the Remote Ring would eliminate the need for consumers to carry a multitude of keys and key fobs, while making it a snap to lock and unlock doors and other locks on automobiles, lockers, and many other locking devices for which keys have traditionally been necessary.
Controlling lockable devices using electronic key
A technique for controlling lockable devices includes a key device wirelessly transmitting a first request to a server apparatus. The server apparatus receives the first request and proceeds to identify a controllable lock whose location the server apparatus has measured to be within a physical space mapped by the server apparatus, causing the identified controllable lock to emit a human-detectable indication. In response to an action by a user, the key device wirelessly transmits a second request that directs the server apparatus to toggle a lock state of the identified controllable lock, such as to lock the controllable lock or to unlock it.
Mobile kiosk for intelligent securable devices system
A system and method of controlling a securable device in a set of securable devices may include establishing a centralized data repository with data representative of status of each securable device. Communications with a mobile kiosk application executing on a mobile device of a user may be established. Responsive to receiving a request from the mobile kiosk to identify an available securable device local and accessible to the user, the centralized data repository may be accessed, at least one securable device that is available may be identified, and data associated with the identified available securable device(s) may be communicated to the mobile kiosk to cause the mobile kiosk to communicate at least a portion of the data to one of the securable device(s). Responsive to receiving a status update of the securable device, the centralized data repository may be updated with the status update of the associated securable device.
METHOD AND MEANS FOR VIRTUAL PROPERTY KEYS
Door lock systems are disclosed. More particularly, virtual keys in door lock systems of properties such as houses and apartments, and public properties such as parking garages, or sports facilities, are disclosed. This includes managing virtual key based access of temporary users, to a property or a vehicle sealed by a self-powered lock, from the mobile phone of a permanent user. This is achieved by virtual configurable software keys which are operable with a mobile application, and configurable from the mobile application of the permanent user. These virtual configurable software keys are typically text strings with a data footprint sufficiently small to be transmitted over NFC.
Vehicle and control method thereof
A vehicle includes: a Low Frequency (LF) communication unit transmitting an authentication request signal to a smart key through an LF communication network; a Radio Frequency (RF) communication unit receiving an authentication response signal from the smart key through an RF communication network; and a controller measuring an authentication response time period based on a time at which the authentication request signal is transmitted and a time at which the authentication response signal is received and determining whether authentication with the smart key is successful based on the authentication response time period.
Intelligent door lock system with audio and RF communication
A wireless access control system is provided to lock or unlock a first door at a dwelling of a user. A user remote access device transmits a first signal and a second signal. The user remote access device is configured to be in communication with an intelligent door lock system at the dwelling with the first door. The intelligent door lock system includes: a position sensing device configured to be coupled to a drive shaft of a lock device, the position sensing device sensing position of the drive shaft to assist in locking and unlocking the first lock of the lock device, an engine with a memory coupled to the position sensing device, the engine configured to execute software instructions relative to the positioning sensing device and an energy source coupled to the circuit. The user remote access device provides the first signal to the intelligent lock system for locking or unlocking of the first lock. The intelligent door lock system allows controlled access to the dwelling that includes an occupant of the dwelling as well as a designated third person granted access rights by the occupant. The user remote access device is configured to be in communication to a second lock at a vehicle of the user or at an office of the user. The user remote access device communicates with the second lock with the second signal to cause the second lock to lock or be unlocked. The remote access device has a controller for generating the first and second signals.
