PATIENT MANEUVERING APPARATUS
A patient maneuvering apparatus including a substantially planar body having a top surface, a bottom surface opposing the top surface, a left end, and a right end. The patient maneuvering apparatus also includes a first handle disposed at the left end of the body and a second handle disposed at the right end of the body, a mesh layer with a mesh layer thickness at least partially defining the bottom surface, a fabric layer of an absorbent material at least partially defining the top surface and with a fabric layer thickness, and a border spanning the perimeter of the body, surrounding the mesh and fabric layers, and with a border thickness greater than the mesh layer thickness and the fabric layer thickness.
Multi-purpose emergency services strap
A multi-purpose emergency services strap for facilitating lifting, transporting or carrying an individual has a strap body with a plurality of independent loops formed in the strap body. The independent loops include at least two adjacent, proximal leg loops formed in the strap body on either side of the midline, end loops on each end of the multi-purpose emergency services strap, and a plurality of adjacent handles formed in the strap body positioned distal to each of the at least two adjacent, leg loops and proximal to the end loops. The multi-purpose emergency services strap also includes a back strap and attachment loops that can be variously configured for many rescue and transport applications for humans and animals.
SAFETY ASSISTIVE BELT FOR PATIENT TRANSFER
Described herein is a retractable safety assistive belt assembly for use in transferring disabled or senior patients. The belt assembly includes a retractor assembly, a buckle mechanism, a latch member, a quick-release button, a strap or band member, and an optional belt clip attached to an external part of a housing. The strap or band member optionally includes measurement markers. In a related embodiment, an optional belt assembly case is provided for storage and portability of the belt assembly.
WAISTBAND CONFIGURED TO PROVIDE A STRONG, SAFE, AND WEARABLE PAIR OF SHORTS, PANTS OR SKIRT CONFIGURED TO ASSIST TRANSFERRING A WEARER SAFELY FROM SITTING TO STANDING AND STANDING TO SITTING
A waistband configured to assist transferring a wearer safely from sitting to standing or standing to sitting. The waistband includes a strong belt material. The strong belt material is connected along a waistline of the waistband. The strong belt material is configured to provide a plurality of handles. Wherein, each of the plurality of handles is configured to assist in transferring the wearer of the waistband from sitting to standing or from standing to sitting.
System and method for moving, turning, and positioning a patient
An apparatus includes a sheet having a top surface, a bottom surface, a first lateral side, and a second lateral side, a first flap coupled to the bottom surface proximate the first lateral side, a second flap coupled to the bottom surface proximate the second lateral side and longitudinally offset from the first flap, a first strap coupled to the first flap, and a second strap coupled to the second flap.
Bodily Transfer and Lifting Device
This present invention relates to a patient transfer and lifting device that can be easily used by caregivers or other users to securely lift and transfer an individual with limited or no mobility from one place to another. The transfer device features a relatively soft pad structure comprising a plurality of continuous openings through which a belt is threaded. The soft pad and belt structure provide a support sling while lifting individuals, and thereby reduces the likelihood of injury to both the transferor and the transferee during the transfer movement. The device also provides the transferee with something to hold onto while being transferred, thereby alleviating the fear of falling or being dropped.
Field stretcher with a detachable base
A field stretcher (102) comprising a patient carrying portion (104), a region thereof being operable to form a patient retaining pocket (150) for retaining the patient on the stretcher, in use and wherein the field stretcher further comprises attachment means operable to allow attachment of a detachable base plate. The invention also extends to a detachable base plate (202) comprising attachment means (270) operable to allow attachment of the base place to the field stretcher, a sheltering means and a field stretcher assembly (302) and field stretcher kit of such.
MOBILITY DEVICE FOR ASSISTING A PATIENT
A mobility device for assisting a patient includes a frame having a wheel arranged to manoeuvre the mobility device; a lift assembly coupled to the frame and movable between a lowered position and a raised position; and a support arm coupled to the lift assembly for movement with the lift assembly and arranged to support an upper part of a body of the patient and to support at least part of his weight on the mobility device when the lift assembly is raised from the lowered position to the raised position and when manoeuvring the mobility device.
Patient Turner-Puller & Attachments
The system uses a motor, and a rolling tube or rod of sufficient strength to apply a pull force on one side of a sheet on the bed with the patient lying on the sheet to help pull up the patient on his bed or turn patients on his side with little manual effort. The sheet used has an underside which is slidable to reduce the friction and having a plurality of loops on the sides to connect to the pull straps. The loops to which the pull straps are connected are chosen to apply equal force to pull or turn the patient on the sheet. Patients having mobility issues have to be routinely pulled up or turned on their sides to make them comfortable and avoid formation of bed sores. These operations have caused back problems for many caregivers. The system disclosed provides mechanized help for these operations.
Patient turning device with removable windows
A patient turning device attaches to side rails of a bed on one end in at least two spaced apart locations. Straps of the device are then placed under a patient and/or patient is placed on top of such straps. Between two of the straps are connecting straps extending perpendicular thereto, such as where the first straps are horizontal and the connecting straps are vertical. Connected to some of the vertical and/or horizontal straps are removable windows which are material which fills in at least some of the area between the first straps, connects to at least some of the connecting straps, and are removably and replacably connected to cover (fill in) some of this area between the straps. This allows for access to a patient's back after rotating the patient, in embodiments of the disclosed technology.
