System and method for authenticating components of a vehicle
System and method for authenticating components of a vehicle are described. In an embodiment, a method for authenticating components of a vehicle involves transmitting an interrogation signal to tags attached to the components of the vehicle from an authentication base station in response to a trigger event, comparing an authentication code received from each of responding tags with an authentication code key at the authentication base station to authenticate the responding tags, and transmitting a disengage signal to an immobilizer installed in the vehicle from the authentication base station to enable the vehicle if all the tags have been authenticated. Other embodiments are also described.
Digital Vehicle Key for a Motor Vehicle
A method for controlling a motor vehicle includes authenticating a user of a mobile device, including determining a user account of the user, determining that the user account corresponds to a user account which has been associated with an existing owner key for the motor vehicle and storing an additional digital owner key for the motor vehicle for the user.
VEHICLE IMMOBILIZER TIMER BASED ON ELECTRONIC KEY LEARNING
An electronic device for vehicle immobilizer timer based on electronic key learning to facilitate anti-theft security of a vehicle is provided. The electronic device receives first information indicative of learning of an electronic key of the vehicle. The electronic device controls selection of a delay time of an operation mode of the vehicle, based on the first information. The electronic device controls the operation mode of the vehicle to be set in an immobilized state, based on the delay time and the first information. The circuitry detects whether a request of a user to mobilize the vehicle is received. The circuitry authenticates the user, based on the detection that the request is received. The electronic device controls the operation mode of the vehicle to be set in a mobilized state based on the expiry of the delay time or the authentication of the user.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO CONTROL VEHICLE OPERATION UPON USER ARRIVAL
A vehicle including a sensor unit and a processor is disclosed. The sensor unit may be configured to detect a presence of a user in proximity to the vehicle. The processor may be configured to determine a user presence in proximity to the vehicle based on inputs obtained from the sensor unit, and obtain a user preference associated with a preferred vehicle activation mode, from a plurality of vehicle activation modes, responsive to determining the user presence. The processor may further activate the preferred vehicle activation mode, and control an operation of a vehicle component based on the preferred vehicle activation mode.
