Inflatable patient repositioning sheet

Disclosed is an inflatable patient repositioning sheet that includes an inflatable body and a first air supply port and a second air supply port of the inflatable body. The sheet includes a first air delivery sock and a second air delivery sock in the inflatable body. Each air delivery sock has a first end portion and a second end portion, wherein the first end portion of each air delivery sock is in communication with one of the air supply ports and the second end portion is opposite the first end portion. The sheet includes at least one anchor member resisting movement of the second end portion of each air delivery sock toward the first end portion of the air delivery sock in response to air being supplied into the other of the air delivery socks.

Patient transfer device and associated systems and methods

A patient transfer device includes a patient support surface having a top surface adapted for positioning a patient thereon and a bottom surface defining one or more areas having a concave curvature for passage of air flow therethrough. Passage of the air flow along the one or more areas having a concave curvature provides an air bearing below at least a portion of the bottom surface. Exemplary patient transfer systems and methods of moving a patient are also provided.

PRONE-TO-SUPINE TRANSFER MATTRESS

A mattress includes an inflatable pair of first panels connected to each other and defining a first air pocket therebetween; and an inflatable pair of second panels connected to each other and defining a second air pocket therebetween, wherein the pair of first panels and the pair of second panels are operatively connected to each other defining an inflatable tube containing a space to accommodate a user between the pair of first panels and the pair of second panels, and wherein the inflatable tube is rotatable upon inflation of the pair of first panels and the pair of second panels and rotation of the tube.

Use of high pressure low volume air conversion to low pressure high volume air to power patient transport devices

Systems for patient support, imaging, or transport include a modality with a support surface configured to support a patient thereon, a converter associated with the modality, the converter being configured to receive relatively low-volume high-pressure air from a source of the relatively low-volume high-pressure air and to convert the relatively low-volume high-pressure air into relatively high-volume low-pressure air, and an air flow device configured to receive the relatively high-volume low-pressure air from the converter and provide an air flow function to the modality using the relatively high-volume low-pressure air.

Mattress Air Supply

An air supply supplies air to multiple different inflatable devices. The air supply includes an air compressing device, and at least two pressure valves. The air supply operates to introduce air from the first pressure valve to a first inflatable device at a first pressure that is within a first air pressure range. The air supply also operates to introduce air, on demand, from the second pressure valve to a second inflatable device at a second pressure within a second air pressure range while continuing to supply air to the first inflatable device at a pressure within the first air pressure range. The second pressure and/or the second pressure range is different from the first pressure and/or the first pressure range.

A valve for an inflatable device includes a pocket configured to be located in a cavity of the inflatable device. The pocket includes an entrance opening to receive air from an air output. The pocket further includes a first layer of material having at least a first aperture, wherein the first aperture is positioned entirely within the first layer of material, a second layer of material having at least a second aperture in fluid communication with the first aperture, wherein the second aperture is positioned entirely within the second layer of material. The first aperture and the second aperture are in fluid communication with the entrance opening and the cavity such that airflow passes through the valve by flowing from the entrance opening into the pocket, and out of the pocket and into the cavity through at least one of the first aperture or the second aperture.

LATERAL TRANSFER MATTRESS AND ROTATIONAL POSITIONING DEVICE

An inflatable transfer mattress includes a top panel, a bottom panel having a perimeter sealingly coupled to a perimeter of the top panel to define an internal volume therebetween, and a rotational positioning device coupled to the top panel. The internal volume is configured to receive an air flow therein. The rotational positioning device is positioned outside of the internal volume and includes at least one inflatable bladder configured to be inflated from a deflated state to an inflated state. The bladder portion is configured to rotate a patient to a predetermined angle with respect to the top panel in the inflated state.
