Simultaneous button press secure keypad code entry
A keypad having a plurality of switches identifies a numerical value according to user input to the plurality of switches. The numerical value may be computed as a total count of the plurality of switches that are swiped across in a consistent direction or may be computed as a total count of the plurality of switches that are simultaneously pressed. The keypad may further send the numerical value to a controller configured to facilitate access to vehicle unlock functionality.
Input Device with Dynamic Display Function
An input device with dynamic display function comprises a panel, a interface unit, and a control module, wherein multiple buttons groups are mounted on the panel. Each buttons group has at least one button and one of the buttons group has at least two buttons. Every buttons has symbol marked thereon and the buttons in same buttons groups have identical symbol. The buttons from every buttons groups are randomly placed on the panel. Each button has a lighting unit being placed adjacently for lighting the button. The control module is electrically connected with the interface unit and the lighting unit. The control module lights up at least one lighting unit and its corresponding button in every buttons groups. The interface unit transfers a signal from lighting button when the button is being triggered. Since the buttons are randomly lit up by the control module in every operation, the users may safely input same password by touching or pressing different buttons to avoid any fingerprints or marks being left on same button and prevent peeking or secretly recorded by other people.
FIREARM STORAGE RECEPTACLE WITH ALERT NOTIFICATION FOR EMERGENCY PERSONNEL
The firearm storage receptacle for mount on a wall in a public environment with a loaded firearm encased inside is disclosed. When an active shooter or potential life or death situation should arise, an approved/authorized individual can access safely the firearm through biometric data recognition system while simultaneously contacting the local authorities in the area to alert that there is an active shooter in the facility. The firearm storage receptacle would also include a florescent colored spray applied to the personnel when opening the firearm storage receptacle to identify who is the protector and who is the assailant, thus eliminating the risk of an accidental shooting of the protector.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FOREIGN MATERIAL EXCLUSION ACCOUNTABILITY
A system for foreign material accountability includes a kiosk, which further includes a touch enabled display screen that is back-lit and automatically adjusts brightness based on ambient environment. A user input device, wherein the user input device includes a pin pad, one or more sensors selected from a group consisting of temperature sensors, RFID sensors, IR sensors, optical sensors, iris sensors and one or more cameras, a processor, a data bus coupled to the processor and a computer-usable medium embodying computer code operating on the kiosk. The computer code includes programmed instructions executable by the processor to control accessibility of items into a restricted area based on data received from at least one of the display screen operated by a user, the user input device, and the one or more sensors.
Security-reinforced door lock, and gate security management system using same door lock
The present invention relates to a security-reinforced door lock, the security of which is reinforced, and a gate security management system using the same door lock, wherein: a double-unlock function using a security code stored in a user portable terminal, and a password input by a user's keystrokes may be provided so as to enhance user convenience; after a user enters or exits using a security code, the door lock itself may update the security code and the password together, generate multiple different passwords, and restrict the reuse of a single-used password or permit the reuse thereof only within a predetermined time, so as to allow the entry or exit of people who do not own a terminal in which a security code is stored, and prevent the leakage of the password; and multiple-visitor management for a door lock installed at a facility as well as a door lock for a single-woman household can be facilitated, and high security can be provided.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SECURE ENTRY
There is provided a system and method for secure entry to a property or building. One aspect includes an apparatus having a housing and alarm means for triggering a timed alarm upon removal of a receptacle key from the housing. Locking means is included for locking the housing. Another aspect includes a removable media containing a list of cylinder codes. At least a portion of the list of cylinder codes are transferred to a receptacle key within the housing. Another aspect involves a system having a secure container with locking means for locking a housing. The system includes at least one locking receptacle that is unlocked with the receptacle key. Also provided is a method comprising the steps of retrieving a receptacle key from a secure container, triggering a timed alarm for return of the receptacle key and accessing a locking receptacle with the receptacle key.
Electronic door access control system
An electronic door lock system comprising a door control unit, a key reader and an encrypted binding between the key reader and the door control unit. When tampering is detected the encrypted binding is terminated thereby preventing the door from being opened. There is also disclosed a method for retrofitting a door comprising a key reader with a door control unit. The door control unit, key reader and the latch release mechanism may also be powered by a key comprising a power supply, the key also supplying a coded sequence to the door control unit.
Key fob button sequence for accessing keypad reprogramming mode
A vehicle includes a controller, in communication with a vehicle keypad and at least one key fob authorized to access the vehicle. The controller may be configured to enter a keypad programming mode responsive to receipt of a predefined sequence including button presses of fob controls of the at least one key fob; receive a personal code entered to the keypad; and store the personal code for comparison with keypad input of a user requesting to unlock the vehicle. The controller may also receive input to the keypad; and provide keypad access to vehicle unlock functionality when the input matches a personal code stored to the controller during a keypad programming mode previously entered responsive to receipt of a predefined sequence including button presses of fob controls of the at least one key fob.
Access control system with local mobile key distribution
A system includes an application on a mobile device operable to communicate with a local portal, the application is operable to receive a mobile key from the local portal and from that to retrieve a mobile credential for authorizing a user to access an access control. A method of local key distribution can include entering a pre-shared password to a local portal to encrypt a mobile credential; communicating the encrypted mobile credential to an application on the mobile device; and entering the pre-shared password to the application on the mobile device to decrypt the mobile credential.
Electronic Cam Lock for Cabinet Doors, Drawers and Other Applications
A cam lock for cabinets, drawers, drug cabinets, credenzas, sliding doors, lockers, mail boxes and other door type applications is compact in size, fits an existing cam lock opening and provides electronic access via a keypad or other electronic access. Using batteries, such as AAA size batteries or smaller, the lock has electronics that release a lock turn knob or handle when the correct code is entered. Preferably a set of electronic contacts is included at an accessible position on the lock housing to allow both master access and power jumping with a common manager's implement, for situations of lost codes and/or battery failure. In a particular embodiment the lock is long, narrow and low in profile so as to fit on the margin of a steel or wood file cabinet, compatible with the cam lock opening already provided. The locks, NFC-enabled, can be used in securing delivery boxes to enable delivery access, when authorized.
