WIRELESS CONTROL OF LINEAR ELECTROMAGNETIC ACTUATOR CHILD PROOF SYSTEM
20200193745 · 2020-06-18 ·

A system for remotely locking and unlocking multiple storage units simultaneously or selectively (e.g. cabinet doors & drawers). The system works via a plurality of electromagnetic locking devices (linear electromagnetic actuators) coupled to the controller. The system further comprises a remote control unit wirelessly coupled to the controller. The remote control unit sends instructions to the controller to lock/unlock the electromagnetic locking devices to facilitate the locking and unlocking of any particular electromagnetic device associated with the controller. The linear electromagnetic actuator can incorporate electromagnets in addition to (or in lieu of) linear electromagnets and may utilize push/pull linear electromagnetic actuators. In some instances, the system may require a linear electromagnetic actuator with an angled lock looking style like a door latch/lock that slides onto the hole-port location; a magnet style can be utilized as well.

An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention may comprise: a wireless communication interface; a display; a magnetic stripe transmission (MST) module comprising a coil for inducing generation of a magnetic field; a processor electrically connected to the wireless communication interface, the display, and the MST module; and a memory electrically connected to the processor, wherein the memory stores instructions for controlling the processor, the instructions, when executed, causing the processor to: receive digital card key information for unlocking a door lock apparatus from an external device through the wireless communication interface; convert the digital card information into an MST signal containing the same; activate the MST module in response to an MST module activation request input thereto; and unlock the door lock apparatus by transmitting the converted MST signal through magnetic induction and waking up the door lock apparatus through the transmitted MST signal. Other embodiments are also possible.

AUTOMATIC SLIDING PANEL DEADBOLT LOCK ASSEMBLY
20200011088 · 2020-01-09 ·

A sliding panel deadbolt lock assembly that is associated with a sliding panel that transitions between an open position and a closed position relative to a stationary panel that is coupled to the sliding panel. A sliding panel lock assembly includes a pin that transitions between an engaged position and a retracted position. A first magnetic field sensing device is positioned at the retracted position of the pin when the pin is in the retracted position to enable the sliding panel to transition from the closed position. The first magnetic field sensing device detects a magnetic field generated by a first magnetic field generating device positioned on the pin. The first magnetic field sensing device positioned at the retracted position of the pin is aligned with the first magnetic field generating device positioned on the pin when the pin is in the retracted position.

UNIVERSAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY FOR LOCKING AND UNLOCKING AN ACCESS DOOR OF A GAMING MACHINE CABINET

An electronic gaming machine includes a cabinet, an access door, an electromechanical latch mechanically coupled to the cabinet and configured to mechanically engage and disengage the access door, and a switch assembly operable to control the electromechanical latch. The switch assembly includes a lock mechanically coupled to the cabinet and extending into the cabinet, a cam mechanically coupled to a rotatable portion of the lock within the cabinet, and a switching element mounted within the cabinet proximate the cam and configured to be mechanically engaged and actuated by the cam when the cam rotates into contact with the switching element, wherein the switching element is electrically connected to the electromechanical latch and is further configured to control the electromechanical latch in response to actuation by the cam.
