Methods and systems relating to administration of authentication information for electronic access control are disclosed. Authentication information is conveyed to an electronic locking device configured to restrict access to an entry point. In various embodiments, a smart device comprises a display screen for presenting a machine-readable optical code comprising encoded authentication information. An image sensor of the electronic locking device can decode the machine-readable optical code to obtain the authentication information. The electronic locking device is configured to permit access to the entry point in response to the image sensor detecting a machine-readable optical code corresponding to an access credential. A server device can provide authentication information to the smart device based on an access criterion. Conveying authentication information to the locking device may include rendering a webpage comprising the machine-readable optical code corresponding to the access credential.

A secured delivery system can include a doorbell device comprising a scanner, and a locking mechanism operatively connected to the scanner a computer processor or a cloud server and a structure, such as a residence or lockbox. A key, which can be in the for of a bar code, can be generated and sent to delivery or service personnel needing access to the structure. The delivery or service personnel present the bar code to the scanner. Upon reading the bar code, the locking mechanism is unlocked thereby allowing access to the structure.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING AND EXECUTING TRUSTED USER ACCESS

Systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided herein for determining and executing trusted user access. In one embodiment, a system for determining and executing trusted user access for smart locks at a retail shopping facility includes an access member, a smart lock securing the access member, a user interface device, and a control circuit coupled to the user interface device. The control circuit being configured to determine whether a user is a trusted user based on a determination that authentication data matches with stored authentication data within a threshold accuracy, and provide an optical key to the user interface device.

Movable barrier operator registration verification

Systems, methods, and apparatus for managing and controlling network-enabled movable barrier operators is provided. A method for managing network-enabled movable barrier operator includes receiving a user account identifier and a movable barrier operator identifier from a user device, providing an instruction to perform a specified action with a movable barrier operator associated with the movable barrier operator identifier to the user device, determining a registration condition is met upon detecting that the specified action has been performed, and, upon the registration condition being met, associating the movable barrier operator identifier with the user account identifier to allow a user account associated with the user account identifier to control the movable barrier operator over a network.
