PATIENT TABLE HAVING RECEIVING DEVICE FOR RECEIVING A TRANSFER BOARD ALONG TWO AXES

A patient table of an imaging apparatus includes a receiving device for receiving a transfer device that is reversibly transferable to the patient table. In an embodiment, the receiving device is arranged on the patient table such that a surface region of the receiving device is in contact with the transfer device when the transfer device is received. Further, the receiving device is embodied to receive the transfer device reversibly along at least two axes that are different from one another in the horizontal plane.

A patient transfer package for laterally transferring a supine patient from one surface to another surface, where the package comprises: a first, rectangular-shaped sheet; a second, rectangular-shaped sheet; and attachment means attached to the second sheet edges and a portion of the first sheet which extends beyond the edges of the second sheet, wherein one part of the attachment means adheres to the second sheet and another part of the attachment means adheres to the first sheet. In addition, the attachment means comprises a non-adhesive channel located between said adhesive parts.

Spine board with cleats for securing a patient
10406042 · 2019-09-10 ·

A spine board for evacuating a patient from an accident site. At least one cleat is positioned on a longitudinal edge of the spine board and having a proximal end coupled to the spine board, and a distal end disposed away from the spine board and formed in a hook shape, so that securing means, such as straps, can be quickly attached to the cleat to secure to the spine board, the head of a patient placed on the spine board, the head immobilizer placed at the sides of the head, and a cervical collar wrapped around the neck of the patient, without having to lift the spine board off the ground the spine board while the patient laying thereon, and that can be used in any weather or ambient light conditions, and can even be attached by feel. In accordance with an exemplary embodiment, the cleat is coupled to a groove or on an axle extending along a longitudinal edge of the spine board and positioned adjustably along the groove. In accordance with another exemplary embodiment, a retrofittable cleat array includes a cleat support structure is fixed to a top plate. The cleat support structure and the cleat are insertable into a through-slot in a pre-existing board.

MEDICAL MOBILITY DEVICE
20190254900 · 2019-08-22 ·

A medical mobility device for use by a person comprising of a transfer board to shift between a first seated area to a second seated area and a handheld support which includes a gripping portion dimensioned for a person's hand and a paddle portion attached to the gripping portion in a substantially perpendicular relationship with respect to the paddle portion. A pair of handheld supports can be used simultaneously by a person holding one in each hand while transferring body weight across a transfer board.

Inflatable Trendelenburg Transfer and Pressure Management Apparatus
20240164971 · 2024-05-23 ·

An apparatus with a high coefficient friction pad and an inflatable base for use in connection with transfer and pressure management. The inflatable base has one or more low coefficient friction areas and has one or more high coefficient friction areas disposed thereon. The base has one or more chambers capable of being disposed in fluid communication with a source of fluid for inflating the base. Inflation of the one or more chambers causes the low coefficient friction areas to contact the surgical table and deflation of the base causes the low coefficient friction areas to be removed from contact with the surgical table and casuses the high coefficient friction areas to contact the surgical table.

Systems and Methods for Repositioning a Patient
20190240096 · 2019-08-08 ·

A method and system is provided for repositioning a patient on a transfer surface (e.g., a hospital bed, a stretcher, an imaging system, or the like). The system comprises two rollers positioned on one side of the surface, and a retractable transfer sheet wound around the rollers. The transfer sheet may be unwound from the two rollers to form two layers between the patient and the transfer surface. The patient may then be moved by sliding a top layer of the transfer sheet relative to a second layer of the transfer sheet. After use, the sheet can be retracted around the roller(s), allowing it to be stored in a location that is convenient but out-of-the-way. Such a system may allow a patient to be moved with less force, in less time, with fewer personnel, or with some other benefit.

Transfer Board
20190209407 · 2019-07-11 ·

A transfer board for assisting in moving a wheelchair bound person from a wheelchair to a bed or similar support includes a flat elongated lightweight board with a smooth upper surface. The board is comprised of two sections; one being narrower than the other so that it can fit onto the seat of a wheelchair. A pair of rigid handles extend upwardly from the sides of the wider section of the board so that a person sitting on the board can grasp the handles and push downwardly on them in order to move his or her body across the board. The ends of the board are inclined downwardly to assist a person in sliding onto and off of the board while the underside of the board includes a nonslip surface.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ROTATING A PATIENT
20190201263 · 2019-07-04 ·

A patient rotation system for rotating the body of a patient comprises an air inflatable cushion having two elastic exterior surfaces, e.g. of stretch material, wherein one of said two elastic surfaces of said cushion forms the top surface, and the other one forms the bottom surface. In deflated state the cushion has a flat shape and in inflated state the two elastic surfaces bulge away from each other, such that inflation of the cushion causes the cushion to assume a wedge shape thereby rotating the body around said rotation axis. The cushion is embodied as a unitary, semi-rigid, portable board when in its deflated state, which enables the sliding of the deflated cushion in between the body of the patient and a horizontal surface, on which the body is lying in supine position, until its posterior support points are being supported by the cushion at its top elastic surface.

Secure transfer ramp for car to wheelchair
10322047 · 2019-06-18 · ·

Transfer ramp for Car to wheelchair. This new design safely helps transfer someone from or to the car or wheelchair. This design is self-supporting between the lower structure of the car seat, car structure under the door, the outboard floor riser ledge of car structure under the door and the rear vertical support column of the door frame. It is only supported from the car side. The person can actually sit on the edge of the board before sliding over to the wheelchair. It is more of a platform than a transfer board. It is more fixed than a standard transfer board that is commonly available on most of the market. This design minimizes the 12 gap that exists between the car seat and wheel chair when using a standard transfer board.

WHEELCHAIR WITH INTEGRATED TRANSFER DEVICE

A wheelchair including a supporting frame and moving means configured to allow the movement of the wheelchair, the supporting frame having a seating area for a user of the wheelchair, the wheelchair including first actuation means configured to translate the seating area laterally and externally with respect to the supporting frame and, at least partially, with respect to the moving means, in a transfer configuration of the user, supporting means being operationally associated with the seating area, being able to be activated in the transfer configuration of the seating area to support the seating area with respect to the ground, the seating area being defined, in the transfer configuration, by a main seat and a secondary seat able to be activated in the transfer configuration of the seating area to increase the extension of the main seat.
