BIOMETRIC ENABLED ACCESS CONTROL
An access control system and a method for operating an access control system are provided. The access control system includes a camera and an access control device and may additionally include a local processing device. At least one of the camera, the access control device, and the local processing device (when included) may be used to store a biometric identifier (e.g., in a storage medium) and compare an optical image with the biometric identifier (e.g., in an authentication module) to decide whether or not a mechanical or electronic lock should be unlocked. The camera, the access control device, and the local processing device (when included) are in short-range communication (e.g., to transmit the optical image and/or an authentication signal). The use of short-range communication allows the comparison of the optical image with the stored biometric identifier to be done locally instead of remotely (e.g., in a sever).
FACIAL RECOGNITION TEMPLATE STORED ON MOBILE CREDENTIAL
A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising executable code that causes one or more processors to: receive, at a reader device from a credential device of a user, at least one of a first image of the user or a first representation of a face of the user; if a first image of the user was received, then generate, at the reader device, a generated representation of the face of the user using the first image; capture, at the reader device, a second image of the user and generate a second representation of the face of the user using the second image; determine a likelihood of a match between the second representation and at least one of the first representation and the generated representation; and permit access by the user to a secure asset in instances where the likelihood of a match meets a threshold.
AUTOMATED MASS FACIAL RECOGNITION ENROLLMENT
A method for enrolling users in an access control system, the method including sending a notification to a device of a user, instructing the user to capture an image with the device; generating a first representation of a face of the user using a first image of the user; generating a second representation of a face of the user using a second image of the user captured with the device; determining a likelihood of a match between the first and second representations; and if the likelihood of a match meets a threshold, using the second image as an enrollment photo for the access control system.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SHORT-RANGE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN DEVICES
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for communicating between devices using short-range communication links. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to systems and methods for communicating access-right data between devices for verification or transfer.
SITE ACCESS CONTROL UNIT
A site access control unit (100) comprising: a structure (102) defining at least one bay (104A), wherein the bay comprises a sensor arrangement (204, 208) configured for at least authentication of a user, wherein the site access control unit further comprises control apparatus (201) configured to: cause the sensor arrangement to scan the user (408, 410); obtain authentication clearance based on authentication data from the scan (408); and transmit an egress control signal (413) to a device (228, 230), for directing the user to leave the bay, when at least the authentication clearance is obtained.
System and method for location-based access control
The system includes an electronically controllable access point device and a server. The server includes one or more processors, which are communicatively coupled to the access point device and a portable device. The one or more processors are configured to determine whether a user of the portable device is authorized to access the access point device based on one or more credentials received from the portable device and retrieve a location of the portable device. The one or more processors are further configured to determine whether the location of the portable device is within a pre-defined geographical area. Upon determination of user authorization to the access point device and that the location of the portable device is within the pre-defined geographical area, the one or more processors direct the access point device to provide access to the user.
METHOD AND SYSTEMS FOR EVENT ENTRY WITH FACIAL RECOGNITION
A system is provided that includes an event site device having a display and an imaging device. The event site device is configured to capture an image of a user's face for identification. The system further includes a server configured to associate ticketing information with an identity of the user, receive the image of the user's face from the event site device, determine the identity of the user based on facial feature information stored for the user, retrieve the ticketing information associated with the user, and transmit the ticketing information to the event site device for presentation on the display.
DOORBELL COMMUNITIES
Doorbells can send data to each other to enable a first doorbell user to warn a second doorbell user regarding a suspicious visitor. A first user can indicate a first trait of a visitor via a first remote computing device. The first user can create a user group to enable the members of the user group to use their doorbells to take pictures of suspicious visitors and to send the pictures of the suspicious visitors to other members of the user group.

Smart parking lot system
One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to detect a vehicle that enters into a parking lot, identify an individual associated with the vehicle, retrieve context information corresponding to the individual, dynamically determine a first parking space based on the context information and available parking spaces, and provide the individual with directions to the first parking space.
