Electronic sensor and key operated lock
09784016 · 2017-10-10 ·

An electronic sensor and key operated lock is disclosed which provides users with the option to use at least one of a manually operated mechanism or for example a biometric sensor to unlock the lock. The lock integrates both the manually operated mechanism and a biometric sensor into one device. The manually operated mechanism and a biometric sensor are coupled to a common toggle switch so that operation of at least one of the manually operated mechanism and the biometric sensor moves the toggle switch and a shackle from locked and unlocked positions.

A wearable device may include: an authentication unit suitable for authenticating a user by verifying user identification information of the user; a sensor suitable for detecting contact between the authenticated user and the wearable device; a wireless communication unit suitable for wirelessly provide link success information to an electronic device requiring user authentication; and a control unit suitable for controlling the wireless communication unit to provide the link success information to the electronic device during the contact after success of the authentication of the authentication unit.

Keyless access control with neuro and neuromechanical fingerprints

In accordance with one embodiment, an access control system is disclosed. The access control system comprises an access control panel including a touchable surface, a multi-dimensional touch sensor under the touchable surface, and a processor coupled to the multi-dimensional touch sensor. The multi-dimensional touch sensor captures a multi-dimensional motion signal including a micro-motion signal component representing neuro-mechanical micro-motions of a user touching the multi-dimensional touch sensor. The processor performs signal processing of the multi-dimensional motion signal to obtain the micro-motion signal component; and extracts unique values of predetermined features from the micro-motion signal component to form a neuro-fingerprint (NFP) that uniquely identifies the user. The NFP can be used as a gatekeeper to control entry into homes, offices, buildings, or other real properly typically protected by access control.

Two-Level Authentication for Secure Transactions

A system and method provide efficient, secure, and highly reliable authentication for transaction processing and/or access control applications. A Personal Digital Key stores one or more profiles (e.g., a biometric profile) in a tamper-proof memory that is acquired in a secure trusted process. Biometric profiles comprise a representation of physical or behavioral characteristics that are uniquely associated with an individual that owns and carries the PDK. The PDK wirelessly transmits the biometric profile over a secure wireless transaction to a Reader for use in a biometric authentication process. The Reader compares the received biometric profile to a biometric input acquired at the point of transaction in order to determine if the transaction should be authorized.

AUTHORIZING RADIO REQUENCY TRANSACTIONS USING A VASCULAR SCAN

A method for registering biometric information for use in a transponder-reader system is disclosed. The method includes steps of detecting, verifying and storing a proffered biometric sample. During detecting, a sensor detects a proffered biometric to obtain a biometric sample. During the verifying step, the biometric sample is compared with other stored samples and/or other information. During the storing step, the biometric sample is stored on a database, for use by the transponder-reader system in authorizing transactions.

Hand cleanliness

Among other things, an entry monitor has circuitry to detect when a person enters a monitored space and an indicator perceptible to other people in the space to indicate a cleanliness state of the hands of the person who has entered the space.

USER AUTHENTICATION AT AN ELECTROMECHANICAL GUN

The present disclosure provides systems and techniques for authenticating a user at gun. The gun may include an authentication manager capable of implementing logic, processing signals, or executing instructions. The authentication manager may receive first query data from a first authentication sensor of the gun, receive second query data from a second authentication sensor of the gun, perform an authentication procedure to determine whether the first query data or the second query data matches enrollment data, where a match is determined based on the first query data or the second query data and the enrollment data satisfying a similarity threshold. The authentication manager may determine that the user is authorized to operate the gun and transmit a signal in response to the determining that the user is authorized to operate the gun. The signal may cause the gun to enter an active state which allows the gun to be fired.

Intelligent entrance guard unlocking system and unlocking method thereof

An intelligent entrance guard unlocking method includes: transmitting electric energy by wireless electromagnetic radiation via a transmit coil; receiving the electric energy via a receive coil; capturing a vein image of a part of a user via a number of small cameras by Infrared scanning technology and filtering noises from the vein image to get a filtered vein image; transmitting a wireless signal containing the filtered vein image to an intelligent entrance guard; comparing the filtered vein image with a predefined vein image; unlocking the intelligent entrance guard when the filtered vein image matches with the predefined vein image and not unlocking the intelligent entrance guard when the filtered vein image does not match with the predefined vein image.
