BANKNOTE JAM TROUBLESHOOTING METHOD AND BILL RECYCLING TERMINAL
Disclosed are a banknote jam troubleshooting method and a bill recycling terminal. The banknote jam troubleshooting method includes, determining the troubleshooting path and the discharge device in case of banknote jam in the conveying passage; determining the multiple conveying sub-channels on the troubleshooting path; orderly discharging the banknotes in the multiple conveying sub-channels on the troubleshooting path from the sub-channel nearest to the discharge device to the sub-channel furthest; where the discharge device is any one among the input device, the output device, the temporary storage device, the recycling box or the recovering box, and the troubleshooting path is a path in the conveying passage for connecting the position of banknote jam to the discharge device.
EDGE SENSING APPARATUS IN AUTOMATED TRANSACTION MACHINE
A sensing apparatus can be configured to detect an edge of a paper that is received by an automated transaction machine (ATM). The paper can move along a path located inside the ATM, the path having opposite first and second sides. The sensing apparatus can include a light emitter and a light detector on the first side of the path, with the light emitter positioned so that it can emit light across the path to the second side. The light detector can be configured to detect light from the light emitter and can emit a signal corresponding to an amount of detected light. The sensing apparatus can also include a control circuit that can control a flow of power to the light emitter, and the control circuit can also receive the signal emitted by the sensor.

Accounting apparatus and method of controlling an accounting apparatus
According to an embodiment, an accounting apparatus includes a change machine, a detection device, and a controller. The controller determines whether or not the change machine is capable of paying change in cash on the basis of a result of a detection by the detection device. The controller accepts, when determining that the change machine fails to pay the change in cash, a payment method selected by a customer from a plurality of change payment methods other than paying in cash.

Money processing device
A money processing device includes a storage that stores and feeds money, a path that transports the money fed from the storage, recognition circuitry that recognizes a denomination of the money transported by the path, and processing circuitry configured to output information on a storage abnormality of the storage based on information on wrong denomination money. The wrong denomination money is money whose denomination recognized by the recognition circuitry does not match a set denomination assigned to the storage as the denomination of money that is supposed to be stored in the storage.

BANKNOTE PROCESSING DEVICE AND METHODS
A banknote processing device comprises a banknote transport path defined at least in part by a transport plate on one side of the banknote transport path, the banknote transport plate being pivotally mounted about a first axis near an upstream end of the transport plate, the transport plate including a working position and an open position, a display assembly being pivotally mounted about a second axis spaced a defined distance apart from the first axis, the display assembly including an operational position and a non-operational position, and a linkage coupled to display assembly and to the transport plate near a downstream end of the transport plate, wherein, when the display assembly is rotated from the operational position to the non-operational position, the linkage causes the transport plate to move from the working position to the open position.

Arrangement and method for aligning at least one note of value
An apparatus for aligning notes of value along a transport path has a note reader with a scanning line with areas detection areas there along. The scanning areas are arranged along a line orthogonally with respect to a central axis of the transport path. A first and at least one second transport elements serve to transport the note along the transport path in at least one transport direction. The transport elements each contact the note in a contact area. At least one aligning apparatus is used for aligning the note, which is arranged between the first and second transport elements and forms a section of the transport path. The note reader detects the trailing edge of the note in a first scanning area and in a second scanning area.
