Sling support assemblies
A sling support assembly is configured to be moved by a lift assembly. The sling support assembly includes a frame and a plurality of sling coupling mechanisms configured to removably couple a sling to the sling support. At least a portion of the frame is movable to selectively change the spatial relationship of the plurality of sling coupling mechanisms.
Method and system for assessing compliance with a patient repositioning protocol
A method for assessing compliance with a protocol requiring or advising the use of lift assist equipment for repositioning an occupant of an occupant support includes the steps of: 1) determining a measure of load borne by the occupant support over an interval of time; 2) determining how much the location of the occupant's center of mass relative to the occupant support has changed during the interval of time; and 3) assessing compliance with the protocol as a function of the load measure, the change of location, and a measure of the occupant's weight.
In one embodiment the load measure is an integral of load over an interval of time. An apparatus for carrying out the method comprises a processor and instructions which are executable by the processor.
Bathing auxiliary chair
A bathing auxiliary chair suitable for bathtubs of different sizes generally includes a seating unit and a supporting unit. The seating unit, which allows a user to sit thereon while bathing, is supported by the supporting unit and can be moved between a first position and a second position. The seating unit is provided with a front guide shell and two rear guide shells. In use, when the seating unit is located at the first position or the second position, one of the rear guide shells can abut against a fastener located at a rear tube of the supporting unit, and the front guide shell can be coupled to a front tube of the supporting unit through a button of a snap mechanism, so that the seating unit can be fixed at the position reliably, and the bathing auxiliary chair can be used safely.
MODULAR SEXUAL ASSISTANCE APPARATUS
The modular sexual assistance apparatus comprises a secure structure (A) able to support a user. The secure structure (A) comprises a carriage (12) arranged on a linear guide and mounted on a pedestal (8). The linear guide comprises a safety device which is suitable for controlling a linear travel of the carriage (12). The linear guide comprises a system for slaving by an elastic cable (30). It comprises a stopper ball (33) and is suitable for entering both a locking catch (32) secured to the pedestal (8) and a ring (31) secured to the carriage (12). A tensed state of the elastic cable (30) is defined both by a movement of the stopper ball (33) along the pedestal (8) and by a clamped slate of the elastic cable (30) in the locking catch (32).
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR POSITIONING AN ARTICLE UNDER A PERSON
A system and method for positioning an article under a person are provided. The system includes an apparatus having a first cover structure and a second cover structure, each having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The first surface is movable in a first direction and the second surface moves in a second opposite direction. A coupling structure couples the first cover structure and the second cover structure, spacing them to enable the article to be positioned therebetween. The first and second directions of the first and second cover structures are substantially aligned. Movement of the first surfaces of the first and second cover structures in the first direction causes the second surfaces of the first and second cover structures to move the article positioned therebetween in the second direction by the second surfaces.
Lift System with a Stowable Support Assembly
A lift system includes a hoist module, a support assembly which is movable relative to the hoist module, and a control system. The control system is adapted to enable a user to a) issue an operational command which causes the support assembly to move to an operational destination, and b) issue a stowage command which causes the support assembly to move to a stowage destination. The control system is also adapted to A) disregard the stowage command provided at least one condition is satisfied and/or B) encumber issuance of the stowage command Equivalently, the control system adaptation is to A1) disregard the stowage command provided at least one stowage contraindication condition is satisfied or A2) not disregard the stowage command provided at least one stowage noncontraindication condition is satisfied and/or B) encumber issuance of the stowage command.
SLIDABLE LIFTING SEAT APPARATUS AND METHOD TO ASSIST STANDING UP
Methods and apparatuses are disclosed to help the elderly or physically impaired individual standing up from a chair, a bench, a wheel chair, a toilet seat, a commode, a rollator seat, a walker seat, or a car seat. The disclosed apparatus to generate lifting thrust for individual to stand up from a chair has a base, a slidable seat pivoted mounted on the base and a lifting spring to reserve the energy on sitting down and release the saved energy on standing up.
Bathing seat structure for use in a bathtub
The present invention provides a bathing seat structure for use in a bathtub, wherein the legs frame enables fixed positioning of the base, and the base enables fixed positioning of the seat cushion. The base is provided with two freeing mechanisms, a lever, and a rolling device. After pulling open the lever, the rolling device enables the seat cushion to rotate. The two freeing mechanisms must be pressed to a predetermined depth and must be pressed simultaneously, only then can the seat cushion be shifted laterally, thus preventing inadvertent contact and causing displacement of the seat cushion. The rolling device uses a two-tier centrifugal configuration, thereby supporting equal distribution of a person's weight to achieve smooth rotation with no inclining of the seat cushion, and thus extending the serviceable life of the rolling device.
Patient Transferring Bed Assembly
A patient transferring bed assembly includes hospital bed that has a mattress deck and a plurality of legs. A gurney is provided that includes a mattress panel and a plurality of legs. The gurney is positionable in a transferring position having the mattress panel being positioned adjacent to and being oriented coextensive with the mattress deck on the hospital bed. A mattress is slidably coupled to the mattress panel on the gurney and a patient lies on the mattress. The mattress slidably engages the mattress deck on the hospital bed when the gurney is positioned in the transferring position and the mattress is urged to slide laterally onto the mattress deck. In this way the mattress transfers the patient from the gurney to the hospital bed without requiring the patient to be lifted.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A BATHING SYSTEM
A bathing system, includes a transfer system having a carrier base and a transfer seat. A sliding of the transfer seat relative to the carrier base may facilitate transfer of the transfer seat toward or away from the tub. A first arm and a second arm of the carrier base extends into and overlaps with a first support surface and a second support surface of the tub respectively. A controller may be in operative communication with a plurality of sensors and determine whether the bathing system is in a state where it is permissible to transfer the transfer seat toward or away from the tub and if so, actuate components of the transfer system to permit the transfer of a patient in the transfer system.
