LATERAL TRANSFER MATTRESS AND ROTATIONAL POSITIONING DEVICE
An inflatable transfer mattress includes a top panel, a bottom panel having a perimeter sealingly coupled to a perimeter of the top panel to define an internal volume therebetween, and a rotational positioning device coupled to the top panel. The internal volume is configured to receive an air flow therein. The rotational positioning device is positioned outside of the internal volume and includes at least one inflatable bladder configured to be inflated from a deflated state to an inflated state. The bladder portion is configured to rotate a patient to a predetermined angle with respect to the top panel in the inflated state.
TRANSFER APPARATUS
A transfer apparatus includes a support with first and second longitudinal sections. A port is provided for inflating the support to transfer a patient or other body. A selective coupling extends between the longitudinal sections to attach the sections together for the transfer of the body on the support, and to at least partially detach the longitudinal sections for removal after the transfer.
Air-bearing patient transfer system
A transfer system includes an air-bearing support with first and second longitudinal sections. A port is provided in flow communication with the first and second longitudinal sections, and configured for inflation of the air-bearing support for transfer of a patient or other body. A selective coupling extends between the first and second longitudinal sections, adapted to attach the first and second sections together for transfer of the body on the air-bearing support, and to at least partially detach the first and second longitudinal sections for separation and removal, e.g., upon deflation of the patient support, after the transfer is accomplished.
PATIENT TRANSFER SYSTEM
A patient transfer system is provided. The patient transfer system comprises a lifting mechanism, an actuator unit attached to the lifting mechanism, two conveyors attached to the actuator unit such that they extend from the actuator unit in a forklift fork-like manner, wherein the conveyors respectively have a conveyor belt and opposite reversing ends reversing the conveyor belt. The actuator unit is configured to move the conveyors such that the reversing ends facing each other are linearly movable towards and apart from each other.
Sanitary chair
The sanitary chair forms a seat that is a configured for use in a shower and with a commode. A patient sits on a horizontal surface formed by the sanitary chair. One dimension of the horizontal surface is adjustable. The sanitary chair comprises a plurality of legs, a base structure, a rail, a seat cushion, a folding cushion, and a back rest. The base structure forms the horizontal seating surface of the sanitary chair. The plurality of legs raise the base structure above the supporting surface. The seat cushion and the folding cushion forms the horizontal seating surface of the supporting chair. The back rest is a vertically oriented structure that supports the back of the patient. The rail, the seating cushion, the folding cushion, and the back rest are attached to the base structure.
AUTOMATED ADJUSTMENTS FOR PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS
An automated system and methods are provided for coordinating a transfer of a patient between patient support apparatuses. The system includes first and second patient support apparatuses having a patient support surface supported by an adjustable frame. A controller is provided and is configured to communicate with at least one of the first and second patient support apparatuses. The controller includes programmable instructions to coordinate automated movements of at least one of the patient support apparatuses in order to couple the support apparatuses at a preferential transfer position, engage or monitor at least one safety feature, and provide an indication that it is safe to transfer the patient between the first and second patient support apparatuses.
Multifunctional aircraft aisle wheelchair and related systems and methods
The various embodiments disclosed herein relate to wheelchair systems for transporting a mobility-challenged passenger onto an aircraft and transfer that passenger into an aircraft seat. The implementations include systems with lift systems, belt systems, and/or transfer ramps.
APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR LIFTING, MOVING, TURNING, AND POSITIONING A PATIENT
A patient support device includes a sheet configured to be placed beneath the patient in use and a plurality of straps connected to the sheet and configured for use in moving, lifting, turning, and/or positioning the patient. The straps may include one or more retractable straps that each have a stretchable retraction strap connected thereto and configured for retracting the retractable strap. The straps may also include one or more central support straps connected to the sheet in an area positioned between the legs of the patient. The sheet may also include a head support for supporting the patient's head, which head support may also include one or more straps. The straps may be connected to a hoist, which is then used to lift the patient.
INFLATABLE MATTRESS WITH LONGITUDINALLY ORIENTED STRINGERS
A transfer mattress includes a top panel; a bottom panel; an outer stringer having a superior edge coupled to the top panel and an inferior edge coupled to the bottom panel such that a portion of the outer stringer extending between the top panel and the bottom panel is at an angle other than 90 degrees with respect to the top panel and the bottom panel when the mattress body is inflated; and an inner stringer positioned between the central longitudinal axis and the outer stringer and having a superior edge coupled to the top panel and an inferior edge coupled to the bottom panel such that a portion of the inner stringer extending between the top panel and the bottom panel is at an angle other than 90 degrees with respect to the top panel and the bottom panel when the mattress body is inflated.
