A safety glove having a protective member or insert extending around the fingertip of the safety glove is provided. The protective member may be positioned along the outer surface or the inner surface of the glove. Alternatively, the protective member may be integrally formed between two layers of glove material. The protective member terminates distally from an interphalangeal joint line to enable finger flexion in order to grasp an item, such as a slab of meat to be deskinned in a skinning machine. The glove may include a rough outer surface formed from thrice dipping the glove and allowing the glove to cure. Additionally, the glove may have a width near the wrist that is wider than the width near the palm to enable the glove to be rapidly removed (i.e., doffed) in an emergency event of the glove getting caught in a rotating blade on the skinning machine.

ELASTOMERIC GLOVES AND METHODS FOR THEIR PRODUCTION

The present application provides low thickness synthetic elastomeric gloves, comprising (a) a thickness at the palm of less than 0.050 mm; (h) a modulus at 500% above 6.5 MPa; and/or (c) an elongation at break below 700%. Also provided is a method for the manufacture of such gloves involving dipping a glove-shaped former into an elastomeric film-forming composition; and curing the elastomeric film-forming composition on the former so as to produce the synthetic elastomeric glove. Corresponding low thickness finger cots are also described, as are formers suitable for the preparation of such gloves.

One or more embodiments of a halter bib allow wearers to more readily urinate or have a bowel movement because the halter bib may be easily lowered or removed. A halter bib athletic garment may include a lower body section, a chamois coupled to the lower body section, and an upper body section. The upper body section comprises a halter strap forming a portion of a loop of a head opening on the upper body section. The halter strap includes two front side portions and a rear side portion positioned between the front side portions. The rear side portion is coupled to the athletic garment only with the front side portions of the halter strap.

The asymmetrical design of the apparatus allows the side torso fastening system to be positioned along the side of the user's torso forward of the user's axilla, such that the apparatus can be secured around a wearer by a care provider without difficulty, and without causing injury to the wearer, whether the wearer is in a standing, sitting, or lying position.

A motion restrictor device is operable to be worn with a protective helmet to reduce the risk of head or spine injury caused by injurious movement of the helmet. The device includes a helmet-engaging component supported on a harness. The component presents helmet-engagement surfaces positioned on opposite sides of the neck of the user. The component is operable to yieldably bias each of the helmet-engagement surfaces toward the helmet when the device is worn, such that contact with the helmet is maintained as the helmet-engagement surface shifts through a range of motion. The device also includes a brake assembly that restricts shifting of at least one of the helmet-engagement surfaces in response to injurious movement of the helmet.
