Personal mobility device
A personal mobility device comprising a base plate having a top surface, a rotating platform having a top surface and a bottom surface, wherein a plurality of rollers are coupled to the bottom surface of the rotating platform and configured to support the rotating platform upon the top surface of the base plate, a motor coupled to the base plate and the rotating platform and configured to rotate the rotating platform with respect to the base plate, and a support structure coupled to the rotating platform and extending upward from the top surface of the rotating platform.
LIFT COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS COMPRISING WALL-MOUNTED DISPLAYS AND METHODS OF USING AND CONFIGURING THE SAME
Lift communications systems, wall-mounted controls, and methods of using and configuring the same are disclosed. A lift communications system includes one or more lifts, each one of the one or more lifts is movable within a space. The lift communications system further includes a wall-mounted control coupled to a wall of the space. The wall-mounted control is configured to communicatively couple to the one or more lifts via a wireless connection. When the wall-mounted control is communicatively coupled to a lift of the one or more lifts, the wall-mounted control is configured to direct operation of the lift and receive data from the lift.
Split drum for lift strap in ceiling lift
A patient lift system includes a lift housing, a base lift strap having a first end coupled to a lift housing and a second end coupled to a sling bar. The base lift strap is infection controlled. In one embodiment, a protective sleeve covers the base lift strap, wherein the protective sleeve has a first end and a second end. In another embodiment, the base lift strap is chemically treated to provide infection control.
Private and Portable Lift and Changing Station
The current invention is a private and portable changing station conveniently folds to fit inside a small cart with wheels to pull along behind a wheelchair. The changing system for handicapped adults and children is complete with a collapsible table, a Hoyer lift and privacy curtain. All the components are compactly stored within the portable cart and can be quickly set up. The Hoyer lift and privacy curtain are set up on a tripod stand. The table is pulled apart so that the top becomes flat and all of the legs lock into place underneath the lift.
LOBED FABRIC CLAMP FOR PATIENT POSITIONING APPARATUS
A patient positioning element is provided for fitting to a patient support device having a base portion and a patient support deck which may support a mattress with a sheet thereon. The patient positioning element includes at least one fixing element for fixing to a patient support deck, a bar element for holding a sheet in position and at least one connector element transverse to the bar for connecting or coupling the bar to the fixing element. The connector element is adjustable such that the bar may take up a first storage position adjacent or near the fixing element and a second deployed position adjacent or near the upper surface of a mattress. The patient support deck is moveable upwardly and downwardly relative to the base portion. The patient is repositioned by a method comprising: locating the head end of a sheet on the mattress under a bar at the head end of the patient support device and adjacent the head end of the mattress; fixing the head end of the sheet to the head board or head frame; and then lowering the head end of the patient support deck such that the sheet is pulled under the bar and then upwards and away from the head end of the mattress.
PATIENT REPOSITIONING APPARATUS
A patient handling system comprising a patient support apparatus having a patient support surface, a component, and a force generating device inducing movement or assisting in movement of the component, and a sheet for covering at least a portion of the patient support surface, and the sheet coupled to the component wherein when the force generating device is operated to induce movement or assist in movement of the component, the movement induces the sheet to move relative to the patient support surface.
BACK REST ASSEMBLY
A back rest assembly includes a base assembly mountable adjacent a resting surface and a back rest having a supported side pivotably supported by the base assembly and an unsupported side spaced laterally apart from the supported side along a lateral axis. When the base assembly is mounted, the back rest is positionable over the resting surface and selectively pivotable about the lateral axis for adjusting an angular position of the back rest relative to the resting surface.
Personal assistive device
A personal assistive device is an apparatus that enables the user to safely self-reposition with little or no help from other users. The apparatus includes a floor base, an upright support, a bracing handle, and a shelf. The floor base serves to secure the upright support to the floor to provide balance to the upright support and to prevent the upright support from moving while the user is holding onto the apparatus. The upright support is an elongated structure long enough to position the bracing handle at a height where the user can easily reach the bracing handle. The bracing handle serves as a secure object the user can grab onto to prevent the user from falling while the user is repositioning using the apparatus. The shelf serves to retain various items close to the user while the user is resting on a fixture.
PATIENT TURNING SYSTEM
A system for turning a patient supported on a patient support apparatus includes a U-shaped frame and a rectangular frame pivotably coupled to the U-shaped frame. The rectangular frame includes first and second sheet grippers configured to removeably couple a plurality of sheets to the system and secure the patient between the sheets. The rectangular frame, the sheets, and the patient are configured to rotate at least 180 degrees relative to the U-shaped frame after the U-shaped frame, the rectangular frame, the sheets, and the patient are raised at least a clearance distance above the patient support apparatus.
Track and Lift Rehabilitation Systems and Related Methods
A system for physical rehabilitation is disclosed. The system may comprise a plurality of motors configured to be coupled to a ceiling; a plurality of cable portions, wherein each cable portion is connected at a first end to a motor and connected at a second end to a connector element; and a controller in operative communication with the plurality of motors to move the connector element in relation to a staircase.
