Portable lifting and transferring techniques
Portable lifting and transferring techniques for assisting in the mobility of disabled persons are disclosed. In one particular embodiment, the techniques may be realized as a portable lifting and transferring apparatus for assisting disabled persons that is compact, lightweight, and portable for use in different locations. Preferably, such an apparatus would provide multiple pivot points for providing multiple degrees of maneuvering freedom when lifting and transferring disabled persons and/or their mobility devices and for providing compatibility with a wide range of vehicles. The techniques may also be realized in other embodiments as disclosed herein.
DOOR MOUNTED LIFT ASSIST DEVICE
A lift assist device employs a striker pin assembly having a striker pin adapted for removable insertion into a striker on a door of a vehicle and a pivot tube. A lift assembly has an actuator boss and a pivot pin connected to the actuator boss with the pivot pin removably received in the pivot tube. A telescoping support arm depends from the actuator boss and a seat is attached to a terminal end of the telescoping support arm.
Patient repositioning apparatus
A patient handling system comprising a patient support apparatus having a patient support surface, a component, and a force generating device inducing movement or assisting in movement of the component, and a sheet for covering at least a portion of the patient support surface, and the sheet coupled to the component wherein when the force generating device is operated to induce movement or assist in movement of the component, the movement induces the sheet to move relative to the patient support surface.
SWIMMING POOL LIFT WITH WEATHER PROTECTION FOR PERMANENT INSTALLATION AT AN EDGE OF A SWIMMING POOL
A swimming pool lift with weather protection for permanent installation at an edge of a swimming pool includes a seat for supporting a disabled person, a linkage assembly to move the seat between an entry level position and a water level position, and a driving device to move the linkage assembly. The linkage assembly is configured to be moved by the driving device between a folded state, in which the seat is positioned at the entry level position, and an unfolded state, in which the seat is positioned at the water level position. The swimming pool lift further includes a casing being configured to house the linkage assembly and the driving device, when the linkage assembly is in the folded state.
Systems and Methods for Repositioning a Patient
A method and system is provided for repositioning a patient on a transfer surface (e.g., a hospital bed, a stretcher, an imaging system, or the like). The system comprises two rollers positioned on one side of the surface, and a retractable transfer sheet wound around the rollers. The transfer sheet may be unwound from the two rollers to form two layers between the patient and the transfer surface. The patient may then be moved by sliding a top layer of the transfer sheet relative to a second layer of the transfer sheet. After use, the sheet can be retracted around the roller(s), allowing it to be stored in a location that is convenient but out-of-the-way. Such a system may allow a patient to be moved with less force, in less time, with fewer personnel, or with some other benefit.
PATIENT REPOSITIONING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A patient repositioning system intended for a patient confined to a bed for an extended time period. The repositioning system includes a sling attached to a frame with side poles having head and foot segments that passively fold between a flat/supine position and sitting positions. The frame pivotally mounts to a frame base that is anchored or affixed to a bed. The frame can be pivotally lifted off of a bed mattress, either uniformly by a single-actuator lifter raising both frame poles by the same angle, or so as to tilt the frame to assist with turning a patient by a dual-actuator lifter raising the frame poles to different angles.
System And Method For Positioning A Patient
A system and method of positioning a patient residing on a sheet located on a mattress includes moving to a first position opposing engagement members of a clamp, inserting a first side edge of the sheet between the opposing engagement members, moving the opposing engagement members to a second position so as to grasp the first side edge of the sheet, and causing a pulling device to pull the clamp and thus the sheet upwards so as to at least partially reposition the patient from an initial position towards a second side of the mattress. The sheet has opposing longitudinal side edges that may be retained by retainers located along corresponding opposing longitudinal first and second sides of the mattress.
Multi-functional and multipositional bed
A bed includes a telescoping foot-end leg at a first end; a telescoping head-end leg at a second end opposite from the first end; a rotating frame that rotates on a lateral first axis extending between an upper portion of the foot-end leg and an upper portion of the head-end leg; and a tilting frame supported by the rotating frame. The rotating frame tilts on a second axis perpendicular to the first axis. The tilting frame is configured to support the patient's entire body. The foot-end leg and the head-end leg are configured to be telescoped while the patient is on the bed such that the height of the foot-end leg is lower than the height of the head-end leg and a slope of the first axis is at least 15 degrees.
HOSPITAL BED SHEET SYSTEM
A hospital bed sheet system including an automated tilting component structured and arranged to elevate a patient on demand and alleviate pressure to specific points of the body to allow a bedridden patient to automatically and independently raise upward and move themselves into a comfortable position without having to wait on assistance, thus immediately making the patient more comfortable, while preventing the formation of bed sores, in a manner that is safe for both the patient and the health care provider.
Multifunctional critical care system and operation method thereof
The present invention discloses a multifunctional critical care system and an operation method thereof. A lifting frame disposed on the bed body, a bed plate and a plurality of lifting bands are disposed at the lifting frame, and a tensioning mechanism is disposed on the lifting frame; The bed plate comprises vertical elevating mechanisms, a transverse telescopic mechanism disposed between the vertical elevating mechanisms; the lifting frame is connected to a tilting mechanism; fastening the lifting bands to lifting bands fastening devices, actuating the vertical elevating power mechanisms; actuating the transverse telescopic power mechanism; actuating the tensioning power mechanism; and actuating the transmission power mechanism. The nursing care mechanism facilitates replacement of bed sheets, ventilating the back, letting the patient laid on their left or right side, cleaning and wiping the body, defecation; and combines the functions of a nursing equipment, a sickbed, and a wheelchair.
