Merchandise security system
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to security systems for securing an item of merchandise from theft or unauthorized removal. For example, the security system may include a sensor configured to be coupled to the item of merchandise, wherein the sensor includes an electrical connector. The security system also includes a base configured to removably support the sensor thereon, wherein the base includes an electronics module having a connector. The connector of the sensor and the connector of the electronics module are configured to electrically connect with one another when the sensor is supported on the base, and the sensor is configured to detect unauthorized removal of the item of merchandise from the sensor.
PORTIONS OF A SECURITY DEVICE SYSTEM; METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THEM
A security device system including portions configured to have a combined state and a separated state. In the combined state, circuitry is configured to have an armed state and a not-armed state, and to trigger an alarm during a breach of the armed state. Depending on the embodiment, at least one of the portions, and in some embodiments more than one of the portions, participate in the armed and not-armed states. In some embodiments, the security device system includes an alarm device portion, a cradle portion, and a stratum portion.
GATEWAY-BASED ANTI-THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM AND METHOD
Improved systems and techniques are disclosed for controlling the security states of anti theft security systems such as product display assemblies using security fobs. The tasks relating to fob authentication are offloaded to a computer system, and these authentications can be based on identifiers for the different security fobs. The computer system can maintain a list of identifiers for authorized security fobs that is easily updated when new security fobs are added to or existing security fobs are de-authorized from the system.
System for utilizing battery operating data
Described herein are system for evaluating operation of a battery by utilizing battery operating data for the battery and utilizing battery operating data for a plurality of other batteries. A system for evaluating operation of a first battery based on measured temperature and voltage monitored in the first battery and in a plurality of other batteries, the system comprising: a battery monitor circuit and a remote device in communicative connection with the battery monitor circuit, wherein the battery monitor circuit wirelessly transmits temperature and voltage information for the first battery to the remote device, wherein the remote device receives temperature and voltage information associated with a plurality of other batteries, and the remote device is configured to evaluate a condition of the first battery as a function of both: (i) the temperature and voltage information of the first battery and (ii) the temperature and voltage information of the plurality of other batteries.
Flexible identification band with cut detection
Provided is a band cut detection system, comprising a flexible band having a transmission medium extending along its length, a processor coupled to the transmission medium, and a wireless communication device coupled to the processor, wherein the processor and wireless communication device are configured to generate and transmit a cut detection signal when the flexible band is cut, damaged, or otherwise compromised. A clasp can be included and configured to irremovably secure overlapping portions of the flexible band. The clasp can encase and protect the processor. The band cut detection system can comprise a detection application executable by a processor of a computer to receive and process the cut detection signal and responsively generate a cut detection indication.

Smart sensor line alarm system
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to systems and methods for monitoring a status of a plurality of a merchandise display devices for displaying items of merchandise at respective display positions. For example, the method includes monitoring for a change in a preselected characteristic of a circuit defined by an electrical connection between the security devices and a plurality of nodes and between the nodes and an alarm unit. The method also includes determining whether an item of merchandise has been added to or removed from a respective display position based on a change in the preselected characteristic.
Display for hand-held electronics
The invention disclosed here is a display system for managing power and security for a plurality of hand-held electronic devices sold to consumers in a retail location. The display includes features that allow power to be supplied to individual devices and security sensors without continuous hard wiring or multi-conductor retractor cables. The display also allows for individual security alarms to be triggered when a theft occurs. Security alarm conditions are preferably triggered via wireless signals.
Systems and methods for monitoring and presenting battery information
The system may be configured to perform operations including receiving battery information, such as voltage data, temperature data, battery-specific data, and/or application-specific data; and displaying at least a portion of such data on a graphical user interface on a display screen. The operations may further include analyzing at least a portion of the battery information to monitor or determine battery health and performance, and displaying the results of such analysis on the display screen.
