Fireman's carry harness
A harness assembly to assist in and secure a fireman's carry of a victim. The harness assembly includes an adjustable strap to be secured around the victim and an adjustable strap to be secured over the shoulder and under the armpit of a carrier. A harness system includes two harness assemblies with one harness assembly being attached around a leg of the victim and one shoulder of the carrier and the other harness assembly being attached around the chest of the victim and the other shoulder of the carrier. The straps are adjustable so that they can be cinched.
Apparatus and method for covering a Hoyer Lift sling
An assembly and a method for covering a Hoyer Lift sling. The sling assembly includes a cover positioned over a top side of a Hoyer lift sling. The cover has a hole therethrough which is positioned over the hole of the sling. A retaining sheet is attached to the cover and also has a hole therethrough which is positioned in alignment with the hole of the sling. In addition, a pad having a corresponding hole therethrough is preferably positioned between the sling and the cover. At least a portion of the retaining sheet is received through the hole of the pad and through the hole of the sling so that this portion of the retaining sheet is positioned beneath the bottom side of the sling. The cover on top of the sling and the portion of the retaining sheet beneath the sling each extend beyond the width of the sling and have outer edge portions which are attached together so that the sling and the pad are thereby retained between the cover and the retaining sheet.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LIFTING AND POSITIONING A PATIENT
An inflatable device for lifting a patient includes an inflatable body having a top sheet and a bottom sheet attached along opposing side edges and forming at least one cavity there between, and a plurality of connecting members extending outwardly from the opposing side edges of the inflatable device. The inflatable device is configured to be inflated while being lifted by the hoist.
ROBOT, ROBOT CONTROL METHOD, METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A robot includes an arm mechanism that operates in accordance with a first motion pattern for supporting a user with a standing-up motion which starts in a sitting posture and finishes in a standing posture, a control unit that (i) acquires first information used to identify a predetermined position of the arm mechanism corresponding to a half-crouching posture of the user during a motion in accordance with the first motion pattern and (ii) detects whether the current position of the arm mechanism operating in accordance with the first motion pattern is included in a first range including the predetermined position identified by the first information, and a presentation unit that presents a first signal if the control unit detects that the position of the arm mechanism is included in the first range.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS INCLUDING A LIFT GARMENT
Devices, systems, and methods are described including a lift garment having a fabric-like material shaped to encircle a torso and at least a portion arms and legs of a subject; at least one lift attachment element associated with the fabric-like material at at least one of one or more lift attachment sites, the at least one lift attachment element configured to attach the lift garment to a lift apparatus; one or more physiological sensors configured to measure at least one physiological parameter of the subject; a microcontroller including circuitry configured to receive and process information regarding the measured at least one physiological parameter of the subject; and a reporting device operably coupled to the microcontroller and configured to transmit one or more signals indicative of the processed information regarding the measured at least one physiological parameter of the subject.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS INCLUDING A WEARABLE LIFT DEVICE
Devices, systems, and methods are described including a wearable lift device including a flexible material having a shape sufficient to encircle a portion of a subject's body; a fastener configured to secure the flexible material around the portion of the subject's body; at least one lift attachment element associated with the flexible material at one or more lift attachment sites, the at least one lift attachment element configured to attach the wearable lift device to a lift apparatus; a load sensor associated with at least one of the one or more lift attachment sites or along a load path between the one or more lift attachment sites; a microcontroller including circuitry configured to receive and process information regarding the measured load; and a reporting device operably coupled to the microcontroller and configured to transmit one or more signals indicative of the processed information regarding the measured load.

Manual assistance transfer belt utilizing individual thigh straps
Described is a transfer belt for assisting transportation of an individual. The transfer belt includes a waist band, a pair of thigh bands, each thigh band configured to be secured around a leg of the individual; and a pair of interconnecting straps, each interconnecting strap connecting a thigh band with the waist band. A bridge strap connects the pair of thigh bands to one another to enhance stability of the individual during transportation. The transfer belt supports the patient's center of gravity, in both a seated or standing position, to allow for a transfer from a seated position to a standing position without adjusting the device.
Lifting device and associated methods
A lifting device may include a main body member and a top member that is detachably connectable to portions of the main body member. The top member may include a top and a hoist assembly that is connected to and extends outwardly from the top. The lifting device may be used to assist in lifting a patient from a seated or a prone position. The main body member is moveable between a collapsed position that is defined as side support member of the main body member being positioned adjacent to a support connecting member of the main body member, and the opened position is defined as a side support members of the main body member being positioned substantially perpendicular to the support connecting member.
PATIENT MANEUVERING APPARATUS
A patient maneuvering apparatus including a substantially planar body having a top surface, a bottom surface opposing the top surface, a left end, and a right end. The patient maneuvering apparatus also includes a first handle disposed at the left end of the body and a second handle disposed at the right end of the body, a mesh layer with a mesh layer thickness at least partially defining the bottom surface, a fabric layer of an absorbent material at least partially defining the top surface and with a fabric layer thickness, and a border spanning the perimeter of the body, surrounding the mesh and fabric layers, and with a border thickness greater than the mesh layer thickness and the fabric layer thickness.
