PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS
A patient support apparatus is disclosed.
Rotatable bath seat with linear actuator
Disclosed is a movable bath seat device employing a linear actuator to assist an individual with decreased mobility in and out of a bathtub. The linear actuator employs a direct current motor with limit switches to move the seat between positions. The device permits an individual to take a position on the seat outside the bathtub and, by use of the actuator, move their torso to a position inside the bath tub side walls. The seat can then rotate, allowing an individual to lift their legs into the bathtub at their convenience. In a preferred embodiment, the cushion on the rotating seat assembly is constructed of a slip resistant padding comprised of medical grade, closed cell molded polyurethane padding that does not absorb water.
Portable transfer chair and lift
According to various embodiments, a portable chair for a disabled individual is disclosed. The portable chair includes a webbing configured to support at least a back and legs of the individual and a plurality of handles around the webbing and weaved together to support the webbing. The handles are configured for lifting the individual.
Patient Raiser
The application relates to a device for, and method of transferring a patient on a bed between a lying position along a bed to a seated position facing the side of a bed. The device comprises an arm hold to allow the patient to clinch the arm hold to his or her chest, thereby enabling the device to transfer the patient between a lying position and a seated position. Preferably, the device further comprises a leg support to assist in transferring the lower portion of the patients body between a lying position and a seated position.
Airplane mobility system for passengers
The disclosure refers to an airplane's own mobility system. For supporting a passenger with reduced mobility on board an airplane and for simplifying as much as possible the use of a toilette, a mobility system for passengers with reduced mobility is provided. The mobility system includes an onboard toilette spatial unit having an entrance zone, an entrance door, and a toilette using zone with a toilette. Moreover, a movement device with a passenger carrying equipment is provided, which is moveable at least from the entrance zone to the toilette using zone and supported in the ceiling area. The passenger carrying equipment includes a seat device enabling a passenger a seat like position. For using the toilette, a passenger is movable back and forth with the movement device from the entrance zone to the toilette using zone.
ASSISTANT FOR STABILIZING, MOBILIZING AND SECURING A PATIENT
An assistant apparatus (1, 100) for mobilizing a patient includes a seat (5) for receiving the patient. The seat (5) is attached to the side of a mast of a trolley (3) that is mounted on rollers (2). The seat (5) comprises a seat surface (6), a backrest (7) and armrests (8).
Lifting System
A lifting system for a mobility device has a bracket fixed to the mobility device. A hoist connector is configured to removably connect to the bracket to provide lifting of the mobility device in use. One of the bracket and the hoist connector has a pin and the other of the bracket and the hoist connector comprises a clip, the pin having a head formation and a neck formation. The clip has an aperture configured to pass over the head formation in use and into engagement with the neck formation such that the clip is loosely held on the pin, and where the clip has a close fit with the head formation to prevent unintentional disengagement from the pin in use.
PERSONAL LIFT MECHANISM
A personal lift mechanism and method are disclosed. The personal lift mechanism comprises: a lift having a base structure which pivotally retains a pair of struts which are pivotally coupled with a lift platform; an actuator coupled with at least one of the pair of struts; and a damper coupled with the actuator and operable to dissipate kinetic energy transferred between the lift platform and the actuator. In this way, less mechanically-robust components are required for the lift mechanism, damage to those components and the actuator is less likely, and any load on the lift platform and/or base structure will experience reduced shock due to the energy being instead dissipated within the damper.
INTELLIGENT MOBILITY ASSISTANCE DEVICE
A device providing intelligent assistance in mobility for disabled people and others includes a mobility device and a lifting device detachably mounted on the mobility device. The lifting device includes a base frame, a retractable bracket structure, several wheels, a sitting pad, and a backrest. The wheels are mounted on a lower surface of the base frame and drive the lifting device to move. The retractable bracket structure is mounted on an upper surface of the base frame. The sitting pad is detachably mounted on the retractable bracket structure, and the backrest is rotatably mounted on the retractable bracket structure.
NURSING BED-CHAIR ASSEMBLY
Disclosed is a nursing bed-chair assembly, which includes a nursing bed and a wheelchair. The nursing bed includes a bed frame, and a connecting mechanism and an interfacing mechanism which are mounted on the bed frame. The butt-joint mechanism includes a guide rail, a butt-joint fixing plate and butt-joint members. The guide rail is mounted on the bed frame, the butt-joint fixing plate is slidably mounted on the guide rail, and the butt-joint members are mounted on the butt-joint fixing plate. The wheelchair includes a wheelchair frame, a backrest and a seat plate which are mounted on the wheelchair frame, main wheels rotatablely mounted on both sides of the wheelchair frame, armrests, and butt-joint portions in butt joint with the butt-joint members.
