FLYING TRAINING SUPPORT SYSTEM
20190287417 · 2019-09-19 · ·

A flying training support system includes: a flight condition generator that generates a simulated flight condition of a virtual another aircraft; a relative position derivation unit that derives a relative position of the virtual other aircraft based on the simulated flight condition and a real flight condition of the own aircraft; a display controller that displays an indicator indicating the virtual other aircraft at the relative position of the virtual other aircraft on a transmission display; a variation amount derivation unit that derives a simulated variation amount by which the own aircraft would vary due to flight of the virtual other aircraft, based on the simulated flight condition and the relative position of the virtual other aircraft; and a flight controller that actually varies the own aircraft so as to make the own aircraft in a state where the own aircraft varies by the simulated variation amount.

Kinesthetic device that simulates flight

A kinesthetic device that simulates flight includes a base unit and a swing unit. The base unit includes a base seat; whereas, the swing unit includes a swing seat, two swing support structures pivoted between the base seat and the swing seat, and a swing actuator used to control the swing positions of the two swing support structures. The two swing support structures are equal in length and parallel to each other. A fixed baseline is formed between two junction points between the two swing support structures and the base seat, a swing baseline is formed between two junction points between the two swing support structures and the swing seat, and the fixed baseline and the swing baseline are equal in length. The two swing support structures, the fixed baseline and the swing baseline form a parallelogram, allowing the swing support structures to swing stably the base seat.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTONOMOUS PERPENDICULAR IMAGING OF TEST SQUARES

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) assessment and reporting system may utilize one or more scanning techniques to provide useful assessments and/or reports for structures and other objects. The scanning techniques may be performed in sequence and optionally used to further fine-tune each subsequent scan. The system may include shadow elimination, annotation, and/or reduction for the UAV itself and/or other objects. A UAV may receive or determine a pitch of roof of a structure or otherwise orthogonally align an optical axis of a camera with respect to a planar roof surface. An imaging system may capture perpendicular images of sample regions that have a defined area-squared.

FLIGHT DECK SIMULATION AND TRAINING SYSTEM AND METHOD
20190027055 · 2019-01-24 ·

A method and apparatus for training a user of an aircraft. Simulated controls for the aircraft are provided. A training scenario defines actions to be performed by the user with the simulated controls. An action indicator associated with at least one of the simulated controls is displayed based on the training scenario. Actions by the user with the simulated controls are detected. Operation of the aircraft is simulated based on the detected actions by the user with the simulated controls.

Method and system for providing remote visibility into a simulation environment

A method for providing remote visibility into a simulation environment, comprising: establishing over a secure public network a connection between a first videoconferencing client running on a first computer and a second videoconferencing client running on a second computer; receiving at the first computer a first live camera feed encompassing a first portion of the simulation environment over a secure private network, the second computer being located outside of the secure private network; displaying within a viewer the first live camera feed and a simulation control interface, a representation of a second portion of the simulation environment and/or a second live camera feed encompassing a third portion of the simulation environment; and granting the second videoconferencing client visual access to the viewer application through the first videoconferencing client.

CONTEXTUAL MONITORING PERSPECTIVE SELECTION DURING TRAINING SESSION
20180232045 · 2018-08-16 ·

Monitoring a training session from a trainee in an interactive computer simulation system. During the training session, while the trainee performs actions in an interactive computer simulation station on one or more tangible instruments thereof for controlling a virtual simulated element, dynamic data is logged related to the actions of the trainee. At a monitoring station of the interactive computer simulation system and during the training session, a graphical user interface is displayed depicting a contextual scene related to the interactive computer simulation from a first point of view and detecting a predetermined event in the dynamic data during the training session. At the monitoring station, a second point of view is defined different from the first point of view and the contextual scene is generated in the graphical user interface after the predetermined event detection from the second point of view.
