METHOD FOR COUPLING TOGETHER A PLURALITY OF ITEMS AND PLASTIC FASTENER FOR USE THEREWITH
A plastic fastener is rendered tacky so as to adhere to the items which it couples, thereby enhancing securement. The plastic fastener is constructed as an H-shaped staple that includes a pair of parallel cross-bars interconnected by a flexible filament. In one embodiment, the plastic fastener includes an inner plastic core constructed using at least one flexible plastic material and an adhesive-based outer coating constructed using at least one of a pressure-sensitive adhesive and a heat-activatable adhesive. In another embodiment, the plastic fastener is constructed using a mixture of at least one flexible plastic material and at least one adhesive material. In lieu of incorporating an adhesive material into the plastic fastener, a novel item coupling process achieves fastener tackiness by applying heat onto the plastic fastener either prior to, during, or after being dispensed into the desired items.
Fastener with Support Feature for Pawl Component
A fastener assembly having a unique pawl design for the head portion of a fastener assembly. The fastener assembly may be a cable tie that includes a head portion having a pawl that includes a primary pawl tooth, at least one set of secondary pawl teeth, and a shelf support feature for pawl. The fastener assembly of the present invention prevent pawl roll out which is a failure that currently occurs with fastener assembly currently available in the market place.
ONE TIME USE TAG
Embodiments of the current invention entail a highly visible tag that can be attached to a product at a highly visible location on the product at a store, but can easily be removed once the purchaser buys the product and takes it home. Once the purchaser gets the product home, they can remove it themselves and use it in public. Once the tag is removed, it cannot be reattached by the consumer. Depending on the store policy, the product may not be returned, or an extra fee charged for returning the garment, or other similar policies. Absence of a tag makes it clear that the buyer has removed the tag and provides an indication that the product, such as a garment has been used or worn in public. The tag is most effective for products that are used in public, such as garments. The tag may carry EAS technology.
CABLE TIE FOR MOUNTING CABLES AGAINST A PANEL
A cable tie with means to form a loop in order to mount cables against a panel or a marking badge. The cable tie has an integrated panel anchor having an elongated body or can be folded into an elongated body. The cable tie is intended to be mounted in a panel that has an opening with a long and narrow shape that could be combination with a circular hole. The mounting starts with a bending around the panel anchor which is then mounted into the opening. Then the cable tie is rotated typically 90 around the axis normal to the panel. Then by releasing the bending, the band on each side of the panel anchor is fixed in the elongated part of the opening and the panel anchor is fixed towards the back-side of the panel.
HIGH STRENGTH SUSTAINABLE SECURITY SEAL
Embodiments of the invention pertain to a security seal/strap (seal) (10). The seal can have a main body (1) and a lock (7). The main body (1) can incorporate knots (8) that interconnect with the lock (7) to lock the seal (10). In an embodiment, the knots (8) can have one or more flaps (5) extending from a base (4) of the knot (8), such that flaps (5) engage one or more receivers (6) of the lock (7). Another embodiment can incorporate receivers (6) having ribs (14) that limit how far the receivers can open. Embodiments can be made via a single injection molding shot, and create a security seal made of a single material.
Anti-Theft Ring Assembly and Method of Using the Same
An anti-theft assembly for deterring theft of a ring is provided. The anti-theft assembly includes a base that can be used to support an electronic article surveillance marker; a product engagement member including a support member that supports the ring during use and a locking member that secures the support member to the base; and an attachment member for securing the ring to the support member. In one embodiment, the support member and the locking member are a single, unitary member. In another embodiment, the support member and the locking member are separate members. Once assembled, upon applying a twisting force to the ring the engagement member rotates within the opening so that the attachment member is not broken.
