DISPLAY DEVICE AND DISPLAY DEVICE DRIVING METHOD
A display device, comprising a display panel and a touch panel. The display panel comprises a plurality of scan lines. The plurality of scan lines are respectively classified into a plurality of scan areas, and the display panel is configured to sequentially scan the plurality of scan areas through the plurality of scanning lines. The touch panel is electrically connected to the display panel, and is configured to receive a touch signal. During a first frame period, when a position of the touch signal corresponds to one of plurality of the scan areas, the display panel is configured to start scanning the plurality of scan areas from the one of the plurality of the scan areas to display an image of the plurality of scan areas.
E-paper display device and a method for driving an E-paper display panel
An E-paper display device including an E-paper display panel and a display driver is provided. The E-paper display panel displays an image. The image includes a first frame and a second frame. The display driver is coupled to the E-paper display panel. The display driver drives the E-paper display panel to display the image. The display driver drives a first pixel group of the E-paper display panel in a first polarity and drives a second pixel group of the E-paper display panel in a second polarity to display the first frame during a first frame period. The first pixel group and the second pixel group are arranged in interlacing. The display driver drives the second pixel group of the E-paper display panel in the first polarity to display the second frame during a second frame period. Moreover, a method for driving an E-paper display panel is also provided.
DISPLAY DEVICE
An object is to provide a display device that performs accurate display. A circuit is formed using a transistor that includes an oxide semiconductor and has a low off-state current. A precharge circuit or an inspection circuit is formed in addition to a pixel circuit. The off-state current is low because the oxide semiconductor is used. Thus, it is not likely that a signal or voltage is leaked in the precharge circuit or the inspection circuit to cause defective display. As a result, a display device that performs accurate display can be provided.
ELECTRICALLY-ACTUATED VARIABLE TRANSMISSION FILM HAVING VERY LOW HAZE AND A VISIBLE GRID IN A CLEAR STATE
A light attenuator that provides transparent light states and absorbing dark states for use in selectively controlling light, especially for smart glass applications. The light attenuator includes abutting areas of attenuation and transparency that form a repeat pattern or a quasi-repeat pattern. The attenuating areas are visible when the light attenuator is in the light state, but the repeat pattern is sufficiently large that a viewer looks through the attenuator and sees no haze.
METHODS FOR DRIVING ELECTRO-OPTIC DISPLAYS
Methods are described for driving an electro-optic display having a plurality of display pixels. Each of the display pixels is associated with a display transistor. The method includes the following steps in order. A first voltage is applied to a first display transistor associated with a first display pixel of the plurality of display pixels. The first voltage is applied during at least one frame of a driving waveform. A second voltage is applied to the first display transistor associated with the first display pixel. The second voltage has a non-zero amplitude less than the first voltage and is applied during the last frame of the driving waveform. The amplitude of the second voltage is based on a voltage offset value and a sum of remnant voltages each frame of the driving waveform contributes to the first display pixel when the first voltage is applied to the first display transistor
Content presentation on display screens
Content presented on a display screen is updated responsive to a user input. Content is retrieved and segmented into bands that are rendered onto the display screen incrementally to provide a visual effect similar to an animation. A band is rendered at a starting location and after a refresh interval passes a subsequent band is rendered at a second starting location. The bands may be rendered until the content is shown on the display screen.
E-paper display device and a method for driving an e-paper display device
An e-paper display device including an e-paper display panel, a graphics library and a display controller is provided. The display controller is coupled to the e-paper display panel. The display controller is configured to receive a line segment input signal and call the graphics library, and then drive, using a set of signal waveforms, the e-paper display panel to display a line segment. The set of signal waveforms is generated according to the line segment input signal and the graphics library. The line segment includes at least one gray level. In addition, a method for driving an e-paper display device is also provided.
Electrical Indicator and Method for Displaying an Electrical Value Using a Digital Display
An electrical indicator includes an interface unit receiving an electrical value to be displayed and a display unit displaying the electrical value. The display unit has a reflective display device with a scale and a pointer. The pointer is formed by selectively controllable light reflecting areas of an electronic ink layer.
Color organic pigments and electrophoretic display media containing the same
An electrophoretic display medium includes a front and a rear electrode, at least one of the front and rear electrodes being transparent, and an encapsulated dispersion fluid containing a plurality of pigments positioned between the front and rear electrode. The plurality of pigments includes a first and a second type of organic pigment particle. The first type of organic pigment particle has a first color and a first charge polarity. The second type of organic pigment particle has a second color different from the first color and a second charge polarity the same as the first charge polarity. At least one of the first and second types of organic pigment particle includes a silica coating and a polymeric stabilizer covalently bonded to the silica coating.
Methods and systems for an electronic shelf label system
An electronic shelf label system comprising an electronic display device and a plurality of electronic shelf labels is provided. A computing system transmits data transmissions to the plurality of electronic shelf labels. Each of the electronic shelf labels are configured to receive, from the computing system, data to render on an electronic display of each of the electronic shelf labels. The electronic display device is configured to determine, based on at least one of a set of specified conditions or the data rendered on each of the electronic shelf labels, content to be rendered on the electronic display of the electronic display device, and adjust the display of the electronic display device to render the content based on the determination.
