Rotational Transfer Platform System
A rotational transfer platform system which aids in transferring an immobile individual from one location to another. The rotational transfer platform system generally includes a platform which is rotatably connected to a base which is adapted to rest on the ground. A walker frame extends from the upper surface of the platform to aid in securing any individual standing on the platform. The walker frame may be adapted to transition between an expanded state for use and a collapsed state for transport or storage. A locking member may be utilized to selectively lock rotation of the platform with respect to the base in one of a plurality of different radial positions to ease with transferring an individual from one location to another.
Wheelchair Lift-Transfer Device
An improved wheelchair lift-transfer device provides capabilities for a patient or caregiver to independently control the wheelchair and lift functions to elevate and move about safely. The compact lift-transfer device is readily usable to assist in transporting and lifting patients from various locations including wheelchairs, beds and chairs. Further, the lift-transfer device is also collapsible for storage and transport.
Patient Transport Apparatus With Area Lighting Module For Illuminating Stairs
A patient transport apparatus (100) for transporting a patient along stairs. A seat section (104) is coupled to a support structure (102) supporting a track assembly (154) having a belt. A motor selectively generates torque to drive the belt. An upper area light module (335) is configured to illuminate light directed at floor surfaces in a rearward direction and constrained to a rearward volume to prevent the light from obstructing a view of a user engaging an upper handle assembly (132). A user interface (204) including an activation input control (214) for controlling the motor and an area light input control (334) for controlling the upper area light module (335) is arranged for engagement by the user. A controller (212) is configured to permit operation of the motor based on the activation input control and to operate the upper area light module in a first or second state based on user engagement of the area light input control.
PATIENT HANDLING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A soft-walled inflatable cradle (10) has a seat section (14), a back-support section (16), and a pair of opposed side panel sections (18, 20) extending between respective sides of the back-support and the seat. The cradle is positioned about a patient in an un-inflated condition and inflated to define a self-supporting seat structure. The cradle may be formed in at least two separable parts which can be positioned about a patient and connected together prior to inflation. The cradle may be used in co-operation with apparatus which include rollers over which the inflated cradle is moved. Methods of handling a patient using the cradle are also disclosed.
Patient Moving Devices (Edelgard Rises)
Safe lifting devices configured for lifting of a fallen patient from a surface and for a transport of the patient are disclosed herein. The devices comprise a class 1 lever including two larger wheels disposed about parallel at a fulcrum of the lever with each of the two larger wheels having shorter load leverage arms and longer effort leverage arms extending radially outward and defining a lever angle of greater than 90?. Each of the larger wheels disposed at the fulcrum includes a smaller rolling wheel attached to each larger wheel by an axle and a medium rolling wheel attached to each larger wheel by a different axle. When an operator pulls down the longer effort leverage arms the patient is safely lifted.
BED STEP
Mobility assistance devices to facilitate egress from and ingress into a bed are disclosed. The devices include a step platform coupled to a handle bar and a back support bar. The step platform is supported by support legs. A height of the handle is adjustable relative to the step platform. A height of the step platform relative to the floor is adjustable by adjusting a length of the support legs extending below the step platform. The handle bar includes a horizontal portion that extends partially toward a plane extending upward from the back support bar.
CAREGIVER'S HELPER LIFT
A caregiver's helper lift utilizes a unique hoisting apparatus, a lifting harness worn by a patient, and a control apparatus to allow a caregiver to raise and lower a patient into/out-of a wheelchair and into/out-of a vehicle, down to or up off a floor, or to any other position/location that a patient needs to be moved. The lifting harness can clip to a lift attachment which is affixed to a helper lift suspension cable/rope/etc. The caregiver's helper lift utilizes a crane arm to suspend the patient and allow him or her to be repositioned by simply rolling/turning the lift. By actuating the hoisting apparatus control system, the patient can be controllably raised and lowered as desired. The crane arm can be adjustably attached to a power T upright which is itself attached to a brace base. At least two beam extensions extend laterally from the brace and provide stability.
TRANSFER SEAT PLATFORM
A transfer seat platform that helps transfer a handicapped person from a wheelchair into a vehicle. The transfer seat platform includes a stand portion having a top portion with a bottom portion, a pair of front legs, and an extended lip, the top portion includes a front end and a back end, the pair of front legs extend from the front end of the top portion of the stand portion and the extended lip extends from the bottom portion of the top portion, and a cushion is disposed and coupled directly on the top portion. The pair of front legs have an adjustable length via a locking assembly. The pair of front legs are placed on a ground surface and the extended lip is placed within a vehicle doorframe.
Carriable complex rehabiltation technology systems
A complex rehabilitation technology system includes a frame and a complex rehabilitation technology device. This frame is movable between a collapsed carriable position and an expanded support position to facilitate portability or storage. The complex rehabilitation technology device is coupled to the frame. And, the complex rehabilitation technology device is configured to be operable when the frame is in the expanded support position. The complex rehabilitation technology system can be portable (e.g., configured for one-handed carrying).
Equipment for the raising of a lying person
Equipment for raising of a lying person. The equipment comprises: a seat (1), a backrest (2), which from a first position can be passed to a second position behind the back of the person, and a chassis (3) with an upper end to which the seat is connected and a lowermost end adapted to rest on a surface such as a floor. The equipment is to be placed on the surface positioned to the person such that the seat is placed under the behind of the person and from this first position the equipment with the person can be passed to a second position in which the chassis with its lower end rests on the surface such that the seat and backrest is raised relative to the surface e.g. to take a chair-like posture or a catapult position i.e. an upright position in which the person will be assisted to a standing position.
