PREEMPTIVE REFRESH FOR REDUCED DISPLAY JUDDER
In an embodiment, an electronic device includes an electronic display. The electronic display provides a programmable latency period in response to receiving a first image frame corresponding to first image frame data. The electronic display also displays the first image frame after the programmable latency period and during display of the first image frame, receives a second image frame corresponding to second image frame data. The electronic display also repeats display of the first image frame in response to receiving the second image frame.
Information processing apparatus and information processing method
An information processing apparatus for providing information for a driver of a vehicle, the information processing apparatus comprises a controller configured to execute: receiving message data that includes a message to the driver of the vehicle; when receiving the message data, outputting the message on a display area provided on a screen; and changing a size of the display area where the message is outputted, based on whether the vehicle is traveling or not.
VIEWING-ANGLE-DEPENDENT COLOR/BRIGHTNESS CORRECTION FOR DISPLAY SYSTEM
A display system including a tracking subsystem configured to track one of a pose of a head of a viewer or a pose of an eye of the viewer. The display system further includes an image correction module configured to, for each pixel of at least a subset of pixels of an input image, determine a pixel view angle for the pixel based on the pose of the head or the pose of the eye, determine a corrected pixel value based on an input pixel value of the pixel in the input image and based on the pixel view angle; and provide the corrected pixel value for the pixel in an angle-corrected image corresponding to the input image. The display system further includes a display panel to display the angle-corrected image.
Method for generating graphic surfaces to be displayed on a screen, related graphics processor
This method for generating graphic surfaces to be displayed on a screen is implemented by a graphics processor and comprises: generating a first graphic surface to be displayed on the screen; switching between generating the first graphic surface and generating a second graphic surface; generating the second graphic surface to be displayed on the screen; the switching including saving a graphic execution context of the first graphic surface; and if the generation of the second graphic surface had been interrupted during a preceding switch with the generation of another graphic surface, restoring a graphic execution context of the second graphic surface, the restored context having been saved during said preceding switch.
MONITOR SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING DISPLAYING THEREOF
The present invention provides a monitor system and a display control method thereof. The monitor system comprises: a control module, used for sending human-computer interaction interface information and background picture information to a processing module by means of a same channel; the processing module, used for receiving video image information, processing the video image information, the human-computer interaction interface information and the background picture information, and outputting target image information to a display; and the display, used for displaying the target image information. According to the system, background picture information is stored in the control module, and by means of information transmission and processing between the control module and the processing module, target image information can be displayed on the display, thus achieving display control over the monitor system, without the need to additionally arrange an external device to store background picture information. The problems in the prior art that costs are high, structural design is difficult, and control accuracy is low are solved.
Systems and methods employing multiple graphics processing units for producing images
A system for producing image frames for display at display device. The system includes graphics processing units including first graphics processing unit and second graphics processing unit that are communicably coupled to each other and pose-tracking means. Second graphics processing unit is configured to: process pose-tracking data, to determine device pose and velocity and/or acceleration with which device pose is changing; execute rendering application(s) to generate framebuffer data corresponding to image frame; and send, to first graphics processing unit, framebuffer data and information indicative of device pose and velocity and/or acceleration. First graphics processing unit is configured to: execute first compositing application to post-process framebuffer data, based at least on said information; and drive light source(s) using post-processed framebuffer data to display image frame.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An information processing apparatus includes a controller configured to, when displaying an on-screen display image on a screen of a display device, invalidate a contrast value set by a user to a contrast setting value specifying a contrast of the screen, and draw the on-screen display image so as to be superimposed on a background image.
Image display system
An image display system is provided. The image display system includes a host, and a touch controller configured to generate touch event information corresponding to a touch signal and supply the touch event information to an accelerator, wherein the touch signal is output from a touch panel. The accelerator is configured to generate, based on the touch event information supplied from the touch controller, output image data corresponding to a touch event. The image display system further includes a display controller configured to supply the output image data generated by the accelerator to a display panel.
Light field displays having synergistic data formatting, re-projection, foveation, tile binning and image warping technology
Systems, methods and apparatuses may provide for technology to reduce rendering overhead associated with light field displays. The technology may conduct data formatting, re-projection, foveation, tile binning and/or image warping operations with respect to a plurality of display planes in a light field display.
Display panel area refresh rates
In some examples, a computing device can include a processor resource and a non-transitory memory resource storing machine-readable instructions to cause the processor resource to receive a signal from a graphics processing unit, cause, based on the signal, a first portion of image data to be sent to a first pixel on a moving image area of the display panel at a first refresh rate over a plurality of frames in response to a first thin film transistor (TFT) associated with the first pixel being on, and cause, based on the signal, a second portion of the image data to be sent to a second pixel on a static image area of the display panel at a second refresh rate over the plurality of frames.
