Tiltable Patient Ceiling Lift Assembly
A patient ceiling lift system including motor units that are attached to independent pivotable support members of a support frame assembly. The motor units are able to pivot on the support frame and relative to one another, which enables the motor units to follow the loading direction on tension support members connectable to a patient sling and eliminate motor unit side loading.
VEHICLE DOOR MOUNTED LIFT ASSIST DEVICE
A lift assist device employs a striker mounting assembly having a case with a receiving chamber having a top channel and a lower channel. A striker housing is removably insertable in the receiving chamber and has a receiver adapted to be inserted over a striker on a door of a vehicle. The striker housing has a top flange with an upper alignment aperture and a bottom flange with a lower alignment aperture, the upper alignment aperture and lower alignment aperture aligned with the top channel and lower channel with the striker housing inserted in the receiving chamber. A striker pin assembly is adapted for removable insertion through the top channel, upper alignment aperture into a striker on a door of a vehicle and through the lower aperture into the lower channel. A pivot assembly is engaged to the case with a pivot pin. A lift assembly has a mounting structure engaged to the pivot assembly with a telescoping support arm depending from the mounting structure. A seat is attached to a terminal end of the telescoping support arm.
PATIENT LIFTING AND REHABILITATION DEVICE
A lift device includes two vertical extendible tower members, each of the two vertical extendible tower members including, at a first lower distal end, an omnidirectional wheel assembly, and a vertical extension assembly configured to simultaneously raise and lower the two vertical extendible tower members in a vertical direction. The lift device further includes a horizontal extendible transverse member connected between second opposing distal upper ends of the two vertical extendible tower members. The horizontal extendible transverse member further including a horizontal extension assembly configured to extend and retract the horizontal extendible transverse member in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the vertical direction, a traveler carriage configured to move in the horizontal direction upon the horizontal extension assembly between the second opposing distal upper ends of the two vertical extendible tower members, and a payload lifting device configured to raise and lower a payload in the vertical direction with respect to the traveler carriage on the horizontal extension assembly.
UNIT FOR PROVIDING ASSISTANCE OR SERVICES TO A PATIENT
A bedside unit provides assistance and/or services to a patient in a bed. The unit includes a first vertical tubular shaft fixed to the floor and a second tubular shaft arranged around the first shaft and moveable relative to the first shaft under the action of a height adjustment mechanism. The apparatus for providing assistance and/or services includes drawers, an overbed table and an egress bar which are arranged to be controllably pivotable about the second shaft. The unit also includes a patient transfer arm at the top of the first shaft and rotatable thereabout.
Personal lift apparatus for use with a bathtub
A powered, personal lifting apparatus, and specifically a lift apparatus, specially adapted for personal use in the entry into and exit from a standard bathtub. The apparatus includes an electric motor powered lifting gantry that slides on a pillar that extends from the floor to ceiling, next to the tub. The gantry raises or lowers an attached chair, or includes a sling. The gantry lowers a user into or out of the bathtub, while rotating automatically to provide for easy entry into or exit from the bathtub, with a locking guide for the gantry that utilizes a square-to round feature of the pillar to allow a 90 degree rotation of the gantry, and then lock it in place as it is lowered.
Personal Mobility Device
A personal mobility device comprising a base plate having a top surface, a rotating platform having a top surface and a bottom surface, wherein a plurality of rollers are coupled to the bottom surface of the rotating platform and configured to support the rotating platform upon the top surface of the base plate, a motor coupled to the base plate and the rotating platform and configured to rotate the rotating platform with respect to the base plate, and a support structure coupled to the rotating platform and extending upward from the top surface of the rotating platform.
Transfer Seating Assembly
A transfer seating assembly for facilitating transitioning of a user to a shower enclosure or tub includes a plate, a plurality of legs, and a seat. The legs are engaged to and extend substantially perpendicularly from a bottom of the plate. Each leg comprises a plurality of nested sections so that the leg is selectively extensible. The legs can be selectively extended to position the plate in a substantially horizontal position and at a desired height. The seat is rotationally and slidably engaged to a top of the plate and can be selectively and fixedly engaged to the plate. A user positioned in the seat can selectively slide the seat, and the user, from proximate to a first end to proximate to a second end of the plate. The user also is positioned to rotate the seat, and the user, relative to the plate.
ROTATING ASSEMBLY FOR ELECTRICALLY COUPLING A LIFT UNIT TO A POWER SOURCE
An overhead lift apparatus includes a mounting structure and a rotatable assembly configured to attach a lift unit to the mounting structure. The rotatable assembly is rotatable with respect to the mounting structure about an axis of rotation. The apparatus also includes a rotatable electrical interface disposed in the rotatable assembly, the rotatable electrical interface comprises a static portion and a rotatable portion attached to the rotatable assembly such that the rotatable portion rotates in conjunction with the rotatable assembly. The apparatus also includes a first electrical connector extending from the static portion to a power source connector configured to be connected to an external power source for the lift unit. A second electrical connector extends from the rotatable portion such that the rotatable electrical interface is configured to provide power from the power source to an end of the second electrical connector via the first electrical connector.
Person lifting apparatuses including lifting straps and methods of operation based on current draw
A person lifting apparatus includes a first lifting strap feeding device including a first drum and a first lifting strap wound on the first drum. A second lifting strap feeding device includes a second drum and a second lifting strap wound on the second drum. A controller is communicatively coupled to the first lifting strap feeding device and to the second lifting strap feeding device. The controller includes logic that controls operation of the first lifting strap feeding device and the second lifting strap feeding device based on a comparison of current draws of the first lifting strap feeding device and the second lifting strap feeding device.
Patient repositioning apparatus
A patient repositioning apparatus includes a mounting frame configured to couple to an underside of a bed frame. A motor housing is rotatably coupled to the mounting frame for rotation about an axis. The motor housing carries a motor and a winch. The motor is operable to turn the winch. A strap is coupled to the winch and configured to be wound around the winch by the motor. The strap has at least one coupling mechanism configured to couple to a bed sheet.
