Rotational Transfer Platform System
20190038490 · 2019-02-07 ·

A rotational transfer platform system which aids in transferring an immobile individual from one location to another. The rotational transfer platform system generally includes a platform which is rotatably connected to a base which is adapted to rest on the ground. A walker frame extends from the upper surface of the platform to aid in securing any individual standing on the platform. The walker frame may be adapted to transition between an expanded state for use and a collapsed state for transport or storage. A locking member may be utilized to selectively lock rotation of the platform with respect to the base in one of a plurality of different radial positions to ease with transferring an individual from one location to another.

PATIENT HANDLING DEVICES

Patient handling devices for transporting patients in health care settings are disclosed herein. The patient handling devices may include a support member and a torso support member. The patient handling device includes at least one articulating joint that is coupled to the support member and the torso support member. The articulating joint is selectable to arrest or allow articulation of the respective torso support member or the lower extremities support member relative to the support member through a variety of orientations.

ADJUSTABLE BED SYSTEMS WITH ROTATING ARTICULATING BED FRAME

A rotating and articulating bed has a fixed bed frame, a rotation assembly mounted on the fixed bed frame, a pivot assembly mounted on the rotation assembly and an articulating bed frame mounted on the pivot assembly. The articulating bed frame contains a plurality of pivotally connected distinct portions. The rotation assembly rotates the pivot assembly and the articulating bed frame with respect to the fixed bed frame on a plurality of discrete wheel bearings around a vertical axis passing through the rotating and articulating bed. The articulating bed frame articulates the distinct portions and the pivot assembly tilts the articulating bed frame with respect to a horizontal plane that is perpendicular to the vertical axis independent of rotation by the rotation assembly and articulation by the articulating bed frame.

ADJUSTABLE BED SYSTEMS WITH ROTATING ARTICULATING BED FRAME

A rotating and articulating bed includes a fixed bed frame with a horizontal support surface, an articulating bed member and a rotating and pivoting frame mounted on the horizontal support surface and in communication with the articulating bed member. The rotating and pivoting frame includes a bearing plate and a plurality of discrete bearings disposed between the bearing plate and the horizontal support surface. The rotating and pivoting frame is rotatable with respect to the horizontal support surface on the plurality of discrete bearings around a vertical axis passing through the horizontal support surface.

Portable lifting and transferring techniques

A swivel seat system comprising a base assembly, further comprising at least one first leg extending downward from a base plate, at least one second leg extending downward from the base plate, and a clamp plate assembly; a swivel assembly attached to an upper surface of the base plate; and a seat attached to an upper surface of the swivel assembly. The clamp plate assembly further comprises a clamp plate, a gear, a shaft extending downwardly from a center bore of the gear, an elongated handle extending outwardly from the shaft, and a rack coupled to the clamp plate, wherein the gear engages the rack via a plurality of teeth on the gear. The clamp plate assembly is structured and arranged to slide linearly along the bottom surface of the base plate by rotating the elongated handle

Electric wheelchair

The present invention relates to an electric wheelchair incorporating a lifting mechanism which makes it possible to transfer a disabled or dependent person from the wheelchair itself to any desired surface, such as a bed, a toilet, a hospital bed, etc. and vice versa from said surface to the wheelchair, and armrests comprising an anchoring device for fixing a patient support sling.

Method and apparatus for a patient lifting system having an upright pole having a lower end attached to a base wherein the base is mounted on a supporting surface such as a floor proximate a bed of the patient. Extending laterally away from the pole is an angularly adjustable arm or extension which is user selectable to be either; e.g., at a 90-degree angle or a 45-degree angle, which arm is supported by a brace connected between the extension arm and the upright pole. The pole is rotatable in a 360 degree arc and is hollow on the inside which allows a load line to travel through the interior of the gin pole from its lower end to its upper outlet end and includes a plurality of pulleys which allow the load line to travel through the inside of the hoisting system. Also included as a part of the hoisting system is a load line attached to the lower end of the pole using a winch or the like. The winch is electrically operated by a handheld electrical controller which can be held in the hand of a patient so that the patient can assist in maneuvering himself.

AMBULATORY ASSISTANCE ASSEMBLY
