Vibrotactile control systems and methods
Methods and systems are disclosed to facilitate creating the sensation of vibrotactile movement on the body of a user. Vibratory motors are used to generate a haptic language for music or other stimuli that is integrated into wearable technology. The disclosed system in certain embodiments enables the creation of a family of devices that allow people such as those with hearing impairments to experience sounds such as music or other input to the system. For example, a “sound vest” or other wearable array transforms musical input to haptic signals so that users can experience their favorite music in a unique way, and can also recognize auditory or other cues in the user's real or virtual reality environment and convey this information to the user using haptic signals.
Active noise cancelling earbud devices
Systems and methods for audio listening devices, comprise a speaker coupled to a first housing, a sound port having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is coupled to the first housing, and the second end is configured to be inserted in an ear canal of a person such that sound waves emitted from the speaker propagates via a secondary path to the ear canal through the sound port, active noise cancellation (ANC) components configured to generate anti-noise signals through the micro-speakers to cancel external noise, and a first microphone disposed within the sound port at the second end of the sound port such that the first microphone is configured to detect the anti-noise signal that propagates through the sound port via the secondary path and the external noise that propagates via a primary path.
PROVIDING MIDI CONTROLS WITHIN A VIRTUAL CONFERENCING SYSTEM
Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing a program and method for providing Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) controls within a virtual conferencing system. The program and method provide, in association with designing a room for virtual conferencing, an interface for updating a property of an element within a room based on a received MIDI message; receiving, based on the interface, an indication of user input specifying to update the property of the element when the received MIDI message includes a predefined value; providing a virtual conference between plural participants within the room, the room including the element; receiving a MIDI message that includes the predefined value; and updating, in response to receiving the MIDI message, the property of the element.
Automatic orchestration of a MIDI file
An electronic device segments a first and second MIDI files into pluralities of source segments and target segments. For each of a plurality of consecutive pairs of first and second target segments, the electronic device identifies a first source segment corresponding to the first target segment of the consecutive pair and identifies a second source segment corresponding to the second target segment of the consecutive pair, where the first and second source segments are identified by determining that the first and second source segments are harmonically conformant to the corresponding first and second target segments, and determining that a transition between the first and second source segments is graphically conformant to a transition between a consecutive pair of source segments. The electronic device generates a third MIDI file using the identified first and second source segments for each of the plurality of consecutive pairs of first and second target segments.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
This information processing device comprises: a control unit which receives an input of information indicating one or more timings in a playback time of a piece of music, and generates a file including information pertaining to a timbre control performed from each of the one or more timings; and a transmission unit which transmits an audio signal of the piece of music and the information pertaining to the timbre control in the file to a device which outputs a synthesized sound of the playback sound of the piece of music and the playing sound of a musical instrument.
Content control device, method of controlling content and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium
According to an exemplary embodiment, a content control device for a content divided into multiple playback sections includes at least one memory storing executable instructions and a processor that implements the executable instructions to execute a plurality of tasks. The plurality of tasks include a selecting task, a first acquiring task and an outputting task. The selecting task selects a playback section among the multiple playback sections. The first acquiring task acquires a first operation value in response to an operation of a first operation unit. The outputting task that outputs a plurality of parameter values. The plurality of parameter values are used for varying the content in the selected playback section, corresponding to the acquired first operation value based on control data that defines a relationship between the first operation value and the plurality of parameter values.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING AUDIO-FILE LOOP-PLAYBACK FUNCTIONALITY
Systems and methods for providing audio-file loop-playback functionality are provided. The system includes a processor that performs a method including setting a playback loop start-point based on a first selection of a button; setting a loop end-point, associating a loop with an audio file, and entering into the loop based on a second selection of the button; and exiting the loop based on a third selection of the button. Associating the loop with the audio file includes adding metadata to the audio file. The metadata associates the loop with a button. The method includes reentering the loop based on a fourth selection of the button and exiting the loop based on a fifth selection of the button.
Musical instrument controller, electronic musical instrument system, and control method thereof
Provided is a musical instrument controller capable of accurately controlling a musical sound parameter. This musical instrument controller includes: a reception means for receiving, from a musical performance device, a sound emission start signal transmitted on the basis of a musical performance operation; a sensor for detecting an amount of displacement from a reference position; and a control means for generating a control signal on the basis of the amount of displacement from the reference position and transmitting the control signal to a sound generation device. The control means sets the reference position on the basis of the sound emission start signal received from the musical performance device.
Synthesized percussion pedal and docking station
Methods, Apparatus, and a System (collectively a “platform”) for facilitating, enabling, or enhancing creation, control, and playback of digital audio loops or parts are disclosed herein. The platform may include playing back midi song segments. The midi song segments may comprise a midi sequence that is looped a predetermined number of times. The platform may include transitioning to another midi song segment automatically after predetermined number of loops or transitioning in response to a command. The platform may include changing the number of loops during playback of a song segment in response to a command. The platform may relate to enabling automatic generation of song segments during a performance. The platform may include automatically selecting midi sequences to enhance playback. The platform may include other features pertaining to enhancing or enabling digital music creation or composition.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TRANSPOSING SPOKEN OR TEXTUAL INPUT TO MUSIC
Described herein are real-time musical translation devices (RETM) and methods of use thereof. Exemplary uses of RETMs include optimizing the understanding and/or recall of an input message for a user and improving a cognitive process in a user.
