DETECTION SYSTEM AND MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
A first coil includes a first portion and a second portion disposed along a first axis. A second coil includes a third portion facing the first portion and a fourth portion facing the second portion. In the direction of the first axis, a first outer dimension of the first portion is equal to or smaller than a third outer dimension of the third portion, and a second outer dimension of the second portion is equal to or smaller than a fourth outer dimension of the fourth portion. A first distance between the centers of the first portion and the second portion is larger than a second distance between the centers of the third portion and the fourth portion, and the centers of the third portion and the fourth portion are positioned between the centers of the first portion and the second portion in the direction of the first axis.
Adaptation and modification of a Theremin system
A musical instrument with novel configurations and performance techniques that can play notes and scale tones is disclosed. The musical instrument implements design and ergonomic changes to a Theremin's traditional configuration and use. The musical instrument includes an additional sound generation device such as an actuator that is operated to provide rhythm and tonal results. The musical instrument includes a pitch antenna that is configured in a horizontal position, which creates a different plane of reference with respect to performance motions employed for modifying the pitch. The musical instrument allows for a user to play notes and scale tones in a standing, seated, or ambulatory position. Improved playing interfaces, accessory items, and other characteristics for enhancing the playing of the musical instrument are provided.
SymetrEWI
An electronic wind instrument includes capacitance touch switch key touches, a breath pressure sensor, and pinky key touches configured specifically for the purpose of transposing musical phrases into any of the 12 musical keys.
Method, apparatus and computer-readable storage means for adjusting at least one parameter
The present invention concerns a method, an apparatus and a computer-readable storage means for adjusting at least one parameter, which can be used for enhancing the user experience of adjusting parameters, especially of adjusting parameters in common audio software through a system of assignable rotary encoders with capacitive-sensing knob caps and a parameter type aware software. In particular, the present invention ensures that parameters of (audio) software can be adjusted quickly, without diverting a user's attention from actual tasks. For this purpose, a method is proposed, where at least one touch sensitive input element is provided, for at least one of the input elements at least one of a time between subsequent sensed contacts and a time of the presence of the contact is determined, based on the determined time it is decided, whether the contact is a tap gesture, and a parameter is adjusted depending from the tap gesture.
Electronic musical instruments
Electronic musical instruments as disclosed, include sensors to digitize and alter the sound using FSR sensors in the mouthpieces and other elements of the instrument to mimic the variations available in analog instruments.
Operator device for electronic musical instrument
A switch is constituted by a movable conductive portion and a pair of fixed conductive portions. The fixed conductive portions are arranged on a substrate, and are each constituted by at least one strip member. A first main conductive pattern and a second main conductive pattern are arranged on the substrate in correspondence with the fixed conductive portions. The movable conductive portion electrically shorts the pair of fixed conductive portions upon coming into contact with both of them. The strip members that constitute the fixed conductive portions each have a first end portion and a second end portion in the extending direction, and the end portions are electrically connected to the corresponding main conductive patterns.
Method, apparatus and computer-readable storage means for adjusting at least two parameters
The invention especially enables a quick adjustment of several parameters by use of rotary encoders. For this purpose, a method is proposed, where at least two touch sensitive input elements are provided for adjusting the at least two parameters, at least one of the at least two touch sensitive input elements is selected by contacting it with at least a first part of the human body, and the at least one parameter, which is assigned to the contacted touch sensitive input elements, is adjusted by operating, with at least a second part of the human body, at least one input element different from the contacted touch sensitive input elements.
TONE CONTROL DEVICE FOR DIGITAL PIANO
The present invention provides a tone control device for a digital piano, including a support forming a key or the bottom surface of a key, and a base plate disposed opposite the support below the support; wherein a first movable part, a second movable part disposed at a predetermined distance from the first movable part and aligned with the first movable part, and a counter movable part disposed at a predetermined distance from the second movable part and aligned with the second movable part are installed on the bottom surface of the support; wherein a first sensor, a second sensor, and a counter sensor are installed on the base plate, and slots are installed in the base plate; wherein, when the key is pressed, the counter sensor detects the degree to which the key has been pressed.
ELECTRIC ACOUSTIC APPARATUS
An electric acoustic apparatus includes a supply unit that supplies sound-generation information including timing information representing a start of a sound-generation, a storage storing sound control pattern data representing a pattern of over-time change of a parameter defining a behavior of a sound, a reproducer that reproduces the sound control pattern data, and a sound signal generator that generates a sound signal representing a sound according to the sound-generation information and changes the behavior of the sound based on the reproduced sound control pattern data. The reproducer controls a reproduction behavior of the sound control pattern data according to the sound-generation information.
