SOUND PROCESSING METHOD, SOUND PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

A sound processing method obtains note data representative of a note; obtains an audio signal to be processed; specifies, in accordance with the note, an expression sample representative of a sound expression to be imparted to the note and an expression period, of the audio signal, to which the sound expression is to be imparted to the note; and specifies, in accordance with the expression sample and the expression period, a processing parameter relating to an expression imparting processing for imparting the sound expression to a portion corresponding to the expression period in the audio signal. The method then generates a processed audio signal by performing the expression imparting processing in accordance with the expression sample, the expression period, and the processing parameter to the audio signal.

A reference part determiner determines a reference part from a plurality of parts including at least three parts. A subject part group determiner determines a subject part group from the plurality of parts, excluding the reference part determined by the reference part determiner out of the plurality of parts as a subject part group. An acquirer acquires a change pattern of a first audio parameter value set for the reference part. A changer changes a second audio parameter value set for the subject part group determined by the subject part group determiner according to a change pattern acquired by the acquirer.

Music context system and method of real-time synchronization of musical content having regard to musical timing

Due to discrepancies in musical timing signatures, the invention assesses whether a recorded displacement, expressed in terms of beats and fractions, between exit and entry points for a potential musical splice or cut, corresponds to permit a seamless music splicing of different musical sections. Assessment is achieved by establishing a third time base of pulses having a length dependent upon a lowest common multiple of fractions within respective bars for different sections, with the bars of the respective sections then partitioned into an equal number of fixed length pulses. A coefficient aligns different time signatures; it is a ratio between pulses within the different sections. The coefficient identifies corresponding locations of a cut point, related to a suitable anacrusis, in terms of respectively an aligned bar, beat, quaver and fraction in differing time signatures. The coefficient ensures that the time anacrusis in one time signature is interchangeable with others.

Appliance with user customizable alert tunes

A method for customizing appliance alert tunes includes downloading a user selected alert tune from a server to an appliance over a network. The user selected alert tune is a plurality of synthesized notes. The method also includes saving the user selected alert tune in a memory of the appliance and playing the user selected alert tune on a sound emitter of the appliance in response to an activation condition for the user selected alert tune.

A sound signal generation device comprises a first signal generation instructor and a second signal generation instructor. The first signal generation instructor provides an instruction for generating a key depression sound signal corresponding to a key depression at the time of the key depression based on key operation information corresponding to an operation of each key of a keyboard. The second signal generation instructor provides an instruction for generating a key release sound signal according to a manner of a key release at the time of the key release based on the key operation information.

Digital musical synthesizer with voice note identifications

A method for generating voice note identifications for digital musical instrument note controlling signals. The method provides voice identification for every note in digital interface, which makes music learning intuitive and easier. The method can be used with a majority of digital instruments as a part of such instruments. Solfege is used as voice note identification system since it is widely used in music education. However, any such system can be used or newly devised by preparing a different set of patches.
