Humbucking pickup and method of providing permanent magnet extending through opposing coils parallel to string orientation

A humbucking pickup for a musical instrument has a bobbin assembly with first and second bobbins. The musical instrument can be an electric guitar. A first coil is wound around the first bobbin, and a second coil is wound around the second bobbin. A permanent magnet or a plurality of permanent magnets extend through the first coil and second coil of the bobbin assembly. A housing is disposed over the bobbin assembly. Blades are disposed over side surfaces of the housing to redirect the magnetic flux toward the strings. A plurality of strings of the musical instrument is routed over a top surface of the housing parallel to opposing poles of the permanent magnet. Movement of the strings of the musical instrument disturbs a magnetic flux of the permanent magnet proximate to a first pole of the permanent magnet and a second pole of the permanent magnet.

A magnetic pickup is configured for a stringed instrument with at least one string, a neck part, and a body, which has a soundboard. A north and south pole of the magnetic pickup define a magnetic axis. The magnetic axis of the magnetic pickup is oriented substantially parallel to the soundboard or, in the region of the magnetic pickup, an auxiliary magnet having a magnetic axis is arranged, the magnetic axis of the auxiliary magnet is oriented substantially parallel to the soundboard or at a right angle to the magnetic axis of the magnetic pickup.

Acoustic Pickup for Mounting on Musical Instrument Soundboard

Transducer pickup systems for acoustic stringed instruments are disclosed. In one embodiment, a pickup system includes at least two pickups, each pickup including a pickup housing and a bottom surface, the pickup housing having sides comprising at least a top wall, each pickup including an electromechanical transducer surrounded by a solid non-conductive material and located the same distance from the top wall and the bottom surface, and each pickup including adhesive on one of the sides of the pickup housing configured to mount the pickup to the underside of the soundboard of an acoustic stringed instrument.

Humbucker pickup device for active and passive guitars

A humbucker pickup device for active and passive guitars including a matched pair of elongated coil assemblies with two sets of ferromagnetic pole pieces also includes two elongated, transversely polarized permanent magnets positioned between and parallel to the coils. The magnets are beside each other with opposite poles facing each other. The magnets with two respective pole pieces under each string establish two narrow magnetic fields to interact with the string at two points and a weaker intermediate magnetic field between the said pole pieces. The humbucker device includes an improved differential amplifier built from two or three operational amplifiers. Alternatively, the device may include a steel plate between the magnets for further weakening the intermediate magnetic field. Both embodiments, with and without the plate, are described.

A system for the upgrade of an electric stringed instrument for enhancing the musical or artistic performance of a user is provided. The system includes a varying number of potentiometers to be used to control the volume and tone of the instrument in combination with other electrical components such as switches and connecting output jack to be part of the system. Each of the potentiometers have the capably of multiple resistance values. The installer of the system will have the ability to choose the value of their volume and tone potentiometers from one of the multiple values obtained from each of the potentiometers to obtain the best tone option for their instrument. In addition, the system provides the user the option to operate the instrument's multiple magnetic pickups at different resistance values with the same multiple resistance potentiometer. All components are to be solderless connected together with wires to terminals. Terminals may be color coded for identification purposes.

Provided is a guitar effector loop in which a plurality of foot switches (600) are installed in a body so that the plurality of foot switches (600) are connected to a guitar (a), an amplifier (b), and a plurality of compactors (500), and various combinations of the compactors (500) are obtained. In a state in which the No. 1 alternative switch (611) and the No. 2 alternative switch (612) are turned off, or the No. 2 alternative switch (612) is turned on, when the No. 1 alternative switch (611) is turned on, the compactor (500) set by the No. 1 alternative switch (611) is turned on, and the compactor (504) set by only the No. 2 alternative switch (612) is turned off. Thus, the number of combinations of the guitar effectors may increase without increasing the number of switches.
