Electric Guitar Quick Exchange Pickup Assembly
An Electric Guitar Quick Exchange Pickup Assembly facilitates a quick exchange of electric guitar pickups. The assembly comprises a chassis body and one or more inserts. The chassis body allows for a rapid and intuitive process for guitarists to effortlessly swap out pickups within seconds by seating the pickup-housed insert into the chassis body without the need for any additional adjustments, ensuring reliable electrical connections and providing a wide range of tonal possibilities. The Electric Guitar Quick Exchange Pickup Assembly may further comprise a pickguard assembly. The chassis body comprises one or more cavities, a wiring harness assembly, and a wiring attachment block.
Electromagnetic pickup for stringed instruments
An electromagnetic pickup for electric guitars has one or two dual-coil assemblies wherein an inner coil is wound around a bobbin and then an outer coil around the inner coil. In the dual-coil assembly the inner coil replaces the entire or part of wall space of pole piece holes in a plastic molded bobbin. The outer and inner coils in the dual-coil assembly are electrically connected in-phase to produce single coil pickup sound. The outer coil or the serially connected inner and outer coils are connected to a coil in the other pole piece/bobbin/coil assembly out-of-phase to generate humbucking pickup sound.
VARIABLE PICKUP TECHNOLOGY FOR GUITARS
Variable pickup technology can be implemented on guitars. A guitar having variable pickup technology includes a variable ground path at a center tap of a humbucker pickup. The guitarist can vary this ground path across a continuous range of resistances. As a result, a single humbucker pickup can enable an infinite blend of sounds between a single coil configuration and a humbucker configuration. A guitar can include multiple humbucker pickups having variable pickup technology.
SENSOR ASSEMBLY FOR STRINGED MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS
A sensor assembly for a musical instrument with one or more strings comprising a magnet which generates a magnetic field adjacent to a string, a magnetic conductor which acts on said magnetic field, and a step-up transformer comprising a primary winding and a secondary winding, wherein said secondary winding comprises a metal core in a toroidal shape and conductive wire wrapped radially around said core, such that the magnetic field changes when a user moves a string, inducing a first current in the primary winding and creating an electromagnetic flux through the core to create a second current in the secondary winding; and wherein said second current is passed out of the musical instrument.
Systems and methods for onboard, real-time pickup blending for electric guitars and basses
A system and a kit can be used for onboard, real-time blending for electronic pickups to produce various tonal combinations. In one example, at least one of the electronic pickups has dual coils. The dual coil pickup can be electrically connected to a switching circuit positioned on a stringed instrument. The switching circuit can be adjustable in real-time to select between at least two conditions for a signal of the dual coil pickup. In one instance, the conditions can select north coil only, series wiring of the dual coils, or south coil only. Alternatively, the conditions can select series wiring or parallel wiring of the dual coils. Each of the electronic pickups is electrically connected to a taper circuit positioned on the instrument. Each taper circuit is adjustable in real-time to vary an amplitude of the signal from the respective electronic pickup for output of the instrument.
Tone circuits with fret-like steps fitted to individual guitar pickups
This invension discloses five embodiments of a switched resistor-capacitor tone-control circuit, placed at the output of an electric guitar or guitar pickup, such that the bandwidth of the output changes in fret-like logarthmic steps in frequency. This replaces potentiometer-capacitor tone circuits which usually have areas of little change in tone/timbre, intersperced with rapid changes in tone/timbre. Unlike standard tone pots, it can be easily matched to individual pickups.
