Apparatuses and methods for audio classifying and processing
Apparatus and methods for audio classifying and processing are disclosed. In one embodiment, an audio processing apparatus includes an audio classifier for classifying an audio signal into at least one audio type in real time; an audio improving device for improving experience of audience; and an adjusting unit for adjusting at least one parameter of the audio improving device in a continuous manner based on the confidence value of the at least one audio type.
RESTORATIVE MUSICAL METHOD AND SYSTEM
A restorative musical system having a musical composition, which has a plurality of audio elements, a start and an end, and a slow tempo. The plurality of audio elements having a phrase, a plurality of arrangements, a pulsating sound, and a field recording element. The phrase and the pulsating sound adapted to repeat within the musical composition, while the plurality of arrangements is adapted to be introduced in succession. Additionally, the plurality of audio elements is audio mixed to play at a solfeggio frequency and are adapted to cause stereo imaging.
Apparatus and method for weighting stereo audio signals
A signal generator has a filter bank that provides weighted versions of audio signals to speakers. The weights were derived by identifying a first constraint that limits a weight that can be applied to an audio signal to be provided to a first speaker. A characteristic of a second speaker that affects how a user will perceive audio signals output by that speaker relative to audio signals output by the first speaker was also determined. A second constraint was determined based on the determined characteristic and the first constraint. The weights were then determined so as to minimize a difference between an actual balance of each signal that is expected to be heard by a user and a target balance. The signal generator can achieve sweet spot correction and sound stage widening simultaneously. It also achieves a balanced sound stage, particularly when the speakers are asymmetric.
Directional audio for virtual environments
Technology is described for providing audio for digital content. The digital content may be provided to a plurality of devices. The devices may be represented as environment objects in the digital content. A location may be identified within the digital content that corresponds to environment objects representing the devices. Audio may be received from the devices. The audio may be transmitted to the devices for directional audio playback. The audio may be directed to correspond with the virtual location of the environment objects in the digital content.
Directional audio for virtual environments
Technology is described for providing audio for digital content. The digital content may be provided to a plurality of devices. Each device may be associated with a profile. At least one group of profiles may be identified from the plurality of devices that share an affiliation. The group of profiles may be represented as a group of environment objects in the digital content. A location may be identified within the digital content that corresponds to the group of environment objects. Audio may be received for the devices. The audio may be received while the digital content is being transmitted to the plurality of devices. The audio may be transmitted to the plurality of devices for directional audio playback. The audio may be directed to correspond with the virtual location of the at least one group of environment objects in the digital content.

Multi-channel data sonification system with partitioned timbre spaces including periodic modulation techniques
A data sonification system for representing a plurality of channels of numerical information is described wherein the rate of the periodic modulation is itself used as a vehicle for carrying information of at least one component of the multidimensional numerical data. The data sonification system includes a plurality of audio waveform generator elements. Each of the audio waveform generator elements generates an associated audio frequency waveform. Each audio frequency waveform has an audio frequency parameter and at least one timbre modulation parameter having a settable value. The timbre modulation parameter affects the timbre of the audio waveform. The data sonification system includes a mapping element for associating aspects of multidimensional numerical data with the timbre modulation parameter of each audio frequency waveform. The mapping element sets the value of the timbre modulation parameter in response to multidimensional numerical data and/or periodic modulation.
Audio noise reduction using synchronized recordings
Audio recorded by a cellphone or other portable recording device (e.g., audio recorded as part of a video recording of a play or other event) is often of low quality, due to the limitations of the portable recording device. Multiple audio recordings, made during the same period of time and near the same location, can be combined to generate an improved-quality audio recording of an event. The audio recordings may be accessible to a server that selects the audio recordings and performs the combination. To protect the privacy of persons whose audio is used, more than a minimum number of recordings could be combined and/or no more than a threshold amount of any one recording could be used to generate a combined recording. Additionally, a provided clean recording could include more than a threshold amount of the audio provided by a user or device that requests such a clean recording.
