Go Drum
A compact drum kit is provided. The drum kit has a body having a hollow interior cavity and a sound hole for transmitting sound wave from the interior cavity to exterior of the body, the body has a striking head and an opposing resonant head. The drum kit has a top plat attaching to a top side of the body and a platform attaching to a bottom side of the body. The drum kit has a shaft mounting bracket attaching to the top plat and a pivot shaft mounting bracket attaching to the top plat. A plurality of upward extending component mounting shafts are supported by one of the shaft mounting bracket and the pivot shaft mounting bracket. One or more percussion modules that attach to one or more of the plurality of component mounting shafts, wherein each percussion module produces a sound in response to being struck or scraped. A drum kick assembly is positioned on the striking head side of the body and including a beater positioned to strike the striking head of the body to produce a sound. A hi-hat pedal assembly is positioned on the resonant head side of the body.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GROUPING AUDIO EVENTS IN AN ELECTRONIC PERCUSSION DEVICE
An electronic percussion device has a plurality of triggerable actuators, in the form of any of pads, external trigger inputs or foot switches, that may be organized into synchronized groups, and has an operational mode in which triggering of any actuator within the synchronized group initiates playback of audio events or execution of control functions associated with other of the actuators within the synchronized group in one of multiple different synchronization orders, e.g. one at a time, all simultaneously, random or in a predefined or user-defined consecutive order.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A VISUALIZING CHARACTERISTICS OF AN AUDIO EVENT
An electronic percussion device has a plurality of touch sensitive pad, an array of lighting elements disposed adjacent each pad, and a virtual display of the currently selected kit. The light array provides the user with immediate visual cue about the status and capabilities of the sound selections, without having to interrupt the user's performance. The user can color code and animate the illumination pattern of each light array so that, from a distance, the user is visually reminded what sounds are assigned to each pad, when sound associated with particular pad is currently playing, when playback of a sound associated with a pad is about to end.
ELECTRONIC PERCUSSION INSTRUMENT, ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENT, INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An electronic percussion instrument, electronic musical instrument, information processing device, and information processing method are provided. The electronic musical instrument includes a control device that performs processing in which an envelope indicating a change in a reference value over time for determining whether vibration of the second playing operation element is self-induced vibration or excited vibration entailed by vibration of the first playing operation element is generated based on a waveform indicating vibration of the first playing operation element, and processing in which information on the basis of excited vibration of the second playing operation element is prevented from being included in information indicating operation of the second playing operation element using the reference value indicated by the envelope.
STRIKE DETECTION APPARATUS, STRIKE DETECTION METHOD, SOUNDING CONTROL APPARATUS AND SOUNDING CONTROL METHOD
The present invention provides a sounding control system capable of performing high-accuracy crosstalk suppression while reducing the processing load on a sound source device. When a first pad (12) vibrates, the first pad (12) generates sound emission data (62a1) that is information instructing a sound source device (11) to produce a sound and crosstalk cancellation determination data (62a2) that is information used for canceling crosstalk, and sends the data to the sound source device (11). The sound source device (11) determines whether or not crosstalk has occurred and controls sound emission using the information.
ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENT MAIN BODY DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENT SYSTEM
This electronic musical instrument main body device comprises an information acquisition unit and a port assignment unit. The information acquisition unit acquires, from a playing operation device connected to one connection terminal, information related to the playing operation device. The port assignment unit assigns, to the playing operation device, a virtual input port of a type corresponding to the information related to the playing operation device and acquired by the information acquisition unit.
Systems and methods for transferring musical drum samples from slow memory to fast memory
An electronic-drum module for connection to one or more electronic-drum pads is provided. The module includes an electronic display; a first memory storing audio files for playback when the playback is triggered by a signal received from a pad; and one or more processors coupled to the display and the memory. The processors are configured receive an instruction to transfer a set of samples. The set of samples is associated with a priority-instruction and includes a first subset of samples and a second subset of samples. The processors are also configures to transfer the first subset of samples from a second memory to the first memory based on the priority-instruction before transferring the second subset of samples and to transfer the second subset of samples from the second memory to the first memory.
Drumming fitness system and method
A drumming exercise method and system involves detecting the striking of a surface with a drum stick by a user, and calculating a calorie expenditure of the user based on the detection. The system may be configured as a digital drum machine having drum pads and sensors operatively connected with the drum pads, and a processor that receive signals from the sensors to detect the striking of a surface with a drum stick. Alternatively, the system may be configured as drum sticks that include a sensor and a processor, with the sensor detecting the striking of a surface and the processor transmitting information thereon to calculate an expenditure of calories. Still further, the system may comprise a digital video camera and computer with recognition software, with the camera capturing images of a user performing drumming motions, and the computer detecting the striking via the recognition software.
Devices and Methods for Sharing User Interaction
A method, such as a computer implemented method, of data management, wherein content utilized by a first user can be identified and information about such content can be shared to at least one additional user such that the at least one additional user can pull the identified content from the content source.
Systems and methods for active crosstalk detection in an electronic percussion instrument
An electronic drum with active crosstalk detection includes a first vibration transducer configured to generate a first signal in response to a strike to the electronic drum, and a second vibration transducer configured to generate a second signal in response to vibrations in a mount coupled to the electronic drum. A circuit compares an amplitude of the first signal and an amplitude of the second signal within a predetermined time, and determines whether the signal was generated by crosstalk or an actual drum hit based on various criteria.
