KICK PAD
A kick pad includes a piezoelectric element (1) that converts a vibration generated by beating with a beater into an electric signal and outputs the electric signal, an impact-absorbing member (5) arranged between the piezoelectric element (1) and a surface (21a) to be beaten by the beater, and a sheet-like striking surface cover (21) that includes a front surface including the surface (21a) to be beaten, and that wraps the impact-absorbing member (5), together with the piezoelectric element (1), on a back surface side of the striking surface cover (21).
SUPPORTER FOR KICK PAD
A supporter (10) attaches a kick pad to be beaten with a beater to a stand installed on a floor surface. The supporter (10) includes an elastic member (1) that fixes the kick pad to one end as viewed in a direction intersecting with a direction in which the kick pad is beaten with the beater, and that fixes the other end as viewed in the intersecting direction to the stand.
Percussive beater with transducer
A percussive beater includes an elongated shaft having a first end and a second end; a beater head mechanically coupled to the first end of the elongated shaft; and a transducer mechanically coupled to the beater head, the transducer configured to receive an impact from the beater head and convert the impact into an electrical signal. The percussive beater also includes, in various embodiments, one or more of: an electrical signal filter in electronic communication with the transducer, the electrical signal filter configured to receive the electrical signal, adjust a portion of the electrical signal, and output an adjusted electrical signal; a transducer that is located inside the beater head along with one or more of a wireless connector, an electrical connector or an electrical wire; or a front face that is in direct contact with a padding layer, the padding layer in direct contact with the transducer.
Universal trigger module
Described is a trigger module that can be used with percussive instruments to generate an electric signal. The trigger module includes an enclosure with a strike plate. A piezoelectric transducer is affixed with the bottom of the strike plate. A striker having a protrusion is attached with the enclosure such that the protrusion rests proximate the strike plate. Thus, forcing the striker towards the strike plate causes the protrusion to impact the strike plate, thereby causing the piezoelectric transducer to generate an electric signal.
Acoustic-to-electronic bass drum conversion kit
An acoustic-to-electronic bass drum conversion kit describes the parts needed to convert an acoustic bass drum into an electronic bass drum trigger and amplification device. My invention includes a front panel assembly which has at least one loudspeaker mounted on a panel which fits over the front of a bass drum shell, and a rear panel assembly which has an amplifier and an impact sensitive kick pad mounted on a rear panel. After discarding the front and rear drum heads and hoops, the front and rear panel assemblies are attached to the bass drum shell using conventional lug, tension rod and claw bracket technology. My invention provides the desired look of an acoustic bass drum for drummers who desire an electronic drum amplification system.

Electronic bass drum
An Electronic Bass Drum includes one or more loudspeakers, an internal amplifier system, a removable electronic drum module and control panel, at least one impact sensitive electronic kick pad, an attachment for mounting a bass drum pedal, mounting hardware for tom toms or other acoustic or electronic instruments, legs for stabilization, one or more headphone jacks for silent play, input jacks for other instruments and/or microphones, and an MP3 player cradle for playing along with or recording music.
