Patient Securement System for the Surgical Trendelenburg Position
A patient securing overlay includes a sheet of fabric configured to support a patient's torso on a surgical table. The sheet of fabric includes friction enhancing elements applied to at least a portion of an upper surface. The sheet of fabric is attached near its side edges to two or more side flaps that extend laterally outward from the side edges of the sheet of fabric. Each of the side flaps is attached to the surgical table at two or more attachment points. A distance between adjacent attachment points is greater than a distance between an attachment point and the sheet of fabric in order to naturally create a favorable retaining force vector angle of less than 45 between the attachment point and the sheet of fabric.
Limb irrigation pan device
A kit of parts for assembling a limb irrigation pan device includes a base having first and second opposing sides formed with alternating indentations and protrusions extending along the first and second opposing sides. A first side wall has alternating spaced indentations and protrusions formed along a bottom section of the first side wall to enable the first side wall to be mounted to the base by inserting the alternating spaced indentations and protrusions formed along the bottom section of first side wall into corresponding alternating indentations and protrusions along the first side of the base. A second side wall has alternating spaced indentations and protrusions formed along a bottom section of the second side wall to enable the second side wall to be mounted to the base by inserting the alternating spaced indentations and protrusions formed along the bottom section of the second side wall into corresponding alternating indentations and protrusions along the second side of the base. First and second end panels mount onto opposite ends of the base so as to extend upward and substantially perpendicular to the base in parallel relation to each other to form a frame with the first and second side walls. A sling has coupling components along two opposite sides. The coupling components are adapted to attach the sling to the first and second side walls whereby the sling is coupled to the frame.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AIRWAY MANAGEMENT
Systems and methods for airway management are provided. The airway management devices may be configured to align the oropharyngeal, laryngeal and tracheal axes of a person's head and/or support a neck region and chin and posterior mandibular region of a person. The airway management devices may provide forces similar to forces provided by a conventional head tilt chin lift maneuver and a conventional jaw thrust maneuver.
PATIENT SAFETY SURGICAL PADS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
Patient safety surgical pads are disclosed. Methods of making and using patient safety surgical pads are also disclosed.
AIRWAY SUPPORT DEVICE
An airway support device is provided having a head support pillow with a bottom surface and an opposing top surface adapted to contact and support a side of a patient's head. A chin support is adapted to be positioned adjacent to the pillow where the chin support positions and supports a chin of the patient to provide an unobstructed airway.
Reconfigurable patient support device and patient support system
A patient support device includes an alternate support top, a head support unit partially supporting the alternate support top, a foot support unit longitudinally spaced from the head support unit and an adaptor associated with the foot support unit. The adaptor is securable to the foot support unit so that the adaptor and foot support unit cooperate to partially support the alternate support top so that the alternate support top extends footwardly beyond the foot support unit. The roles of the head and foot support units may be reversed. A related patient support system includes a baseline set of support tops and a set of alternate support tops.
Patient Securement System for the Surgical Trendelenburg Position
A patient securing overlay is provided that includes a sheet of fabric for supporting a patient's torso on a surgical table. The sheet of fabric has an upper surface configured to face the patient and a lower surface configured to face a surgical table mattress or underbody support. The sheet of fabric includes friction enhancing elements applied to at least a portion of the upper surface thereof. The sheet of fabric can include an extension at a foot end of the sheet of fabric that provides material to be tucked under a foot end of the surgical table mattress or underbody support for securing the foot end of the sheet of fabric to the surgical table mattress or underbody support. The extension can include one or more friction enhancing elements.

SHOULDER HOLD-DOWN AND LOCKING MECHANISM THEREFOR FOR USE WITH A SURGICAL FRAME
A shoulder hold-down is provided for use in securing at least a shoulder of a patient in position relative to a surgical frame. The shoulder hold-down includes a locking mechanism that is adjustable to afford positioning of a shoulder engaging portion for contacting the patient. The locking mechanism facilitates at least four (4) modes of adjustment to position the shoulder engaging portion relative to the patient.
