20220304852 · 2022-09-29 · ·

A system for supporting and aligning a patient during a color alteration procedure includes a laser system that delivers a laser in a first direction. A control computer may be adjacent the laser system for controlling the laser system. The control computer system may include a user interface in a first plane substantially perpendicular to the first direction. The system may include a patient support structure having a patient support surface extending in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction and configured to be adjustable to set a patient position or alignment relative to the laser system. Coarse adjustment hardware may be configured to cause automated and/or manual adjustments to the patient support surface in the first direction. Fine adjustment hardware may be configured to cause automated fine adjustments to the patient support surface in the first direction based on instructions received from the control computer.

ADJUSTABLE HEAD SUPPORT

An adjustable head support includes an articulating arm that has a plurality of members, at least one of the members is attached to a consecutive member and configured to rotate about a first axis. At least another of the members is attached to a consecutive member and configured to rotate about a second axis, the first axis and the second axis being perpendicular. A head support assembly is pivotally coupled to the articulating arm.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING ON-SITE MOBILE DENTISTRY
20170319416 · 2017-11-09 ·

The present invention is a method for performing on-site mobile dentistry utilizing a mobile dental chair and mobile dental lamp in combination. The mobile dental chair can be wheeled to a site and can elevate and recline a patient to a comfortable position for the patient and dentist or dental care provider. The mobile dental chair is driven onto and parked on the flat support base of mobile dental lamp, thereby holding the mobile dental lamp in a safe and stable position. The mobile dental lamp provides high intensity illumination suitable for providing modern dental care. The mobile dental lamp may be provided with removable wheels to aid in transporting the lamp to and from a site.

An adjustable connection joint has a partially shaped spherical member attached to a first member to be adjusted with respect to a second member. A slidable base member slides in a bushing which is attached to the second member. A bolt extends through a washer that spreads a slotted end of the slidable base member against the bushing. Tightening the bolt pulls a locking member against an inside of the partially spherically shaped member and pulls it against a conical cavity on an end of the slidable member. Tightening the bolt concurrently locks the slidable member in the bushing and locks a position of the partially shaped cylindrical member in the conical cavity at the end of the slidable member.

DENTAL ROBOT AND ORAL NAVIGATION METHOD
20220015836 · 2022-01-20 ·

Embodiments of the present application provide a dental robot and an oral navigation method. The dental robot comprises a tandem positioning arm, wherein the tandem positioning arm comprises a pedestal, several positioning arms and a jacket, and the jacket is configured to clamp surgical instruments; the pedestal, the several positioning arms and the jacket are connected in series in sequence by rotary joints; a joint angle measuring device is mounted at each of the rotary joints. According to the dental robot and the oral navigation method provided by the present application, by the lightweight of the tandem positioning arm, the volume and weight of the dental robot system are reduced, which improves the practicality of the dental robot in surgical operations.

Anatomically Adaptable Headrest Apparatus
20230320916 · 2023-10-12 ·

The present disclosure provides a headrest for therapeutic environments which is able to adapt and conform to the individual anatomic shape of a patient's head to provide firm support in a desired position for the duration of a therapy session, and which is able to maintain that shape to provide consistent positioning of a patient's head across multiple sessions. The headrest comprises an adjustable support element coupled to a headrest shell, with a headrest cushion being affixed to the shell that can conform to the shape of the patient's head and neck. The cushion is either a vacuum cushion or formed of a memory material, such that the deformation caused by supporting the patient can be reproduced if necessary.
