INFORMATION QUANTITY-BASED REFERENCE SENSOR SELECTION AND ACTIVE NOISE CONTROL USING THE SAME
An active noise control system selects one reference sensor providing a reference signal with the largest coherence to a noise signal, among a plurality of available reference sensors, as a first entry of a reference sensor set. After selecting the first entry, the active noise control system repeats a process in which a sensor capable of providing the largest information quantity to a current reference sensor set among remaining sensors is selected as a new entry of a reference sensor set, until a desired number of sensors is reached or a desired control level is reached. When the reference sensor set is determined, the active noise control system utilizes the entries of the reference sensor set to generates a noise control signal suitable for canceling the noise signal.
SOUND CONTROL DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A sound control device mounted in a vehicle and control method thereof includes obtaining whether an audio function is ON or OFF, and determining a maximum limit value for a displacement of a speaker due to a noise control signal according to whether the audio function is ON or OFF.
Apparatus, method and computer program for adjustable noise cancellation
An apparatus receives a background audio signal from an earpiece microphone. The earpiece microphone is configured to convert sound from a surrounding environment into the background audio signal. The apparatus outputs, to at least one speaker, a primary audio signal with an altered version of the background audio signal. The altered version is selectable, responsive to control by a user of a user interface, between an amount of active noise cancelation of the sound and an amount of reproduction of the sound. One example embodiment is a headset with microphones and speakers for the respective inputs and outputs.
Wearable audio device with control platform
Various aspects include wearable audio devices wearable audio devices with a control platform for managing external device interaction. In some particular aspects, a wearable audio device includes: an accessory port; at least one processor; and memory including multiple sets of active noise reduction (ANR) configurations (or more generally, multiple profiles), the memory including instructions executable by the at least one processor, where the instructions are configured to: select a first ANR configuration (or more generally, a first profile) upon powering on the wearable audio device, the selection of the first ANR configuration (or first profile) based on an accessory connected to the accessory port, and automatically switch to a second ANR configuration (or more generally, a second profile) in response to a trigger, where the second ANR configuration (or second profile) is different from the first ANR configuration (or first profile).
METHODS, APPARATUS AND SYSTEMS FOR AUDIO PLAYBACK
The present invention relates to methods, apparatus and systems for audio playback via a personal audio device following a biometric process. A personal audio device may be used to obtain ear model data for authenticating a user via an ear biometric authentication system. Owing to that successful authentication, the electronic device is informed of the person who is listening to audio playback from the device. Thus the device can implement one or more playback settings which are specific to that authorised user.
HELMET EQUIPPED WITH SOUND SIGNAL PROCESSING UNIT AND SOUND SIGNAL PROCESSING APPARATUS
A speaker and a microphone are provided to a helmet main body. A phase of a sound signal passing through a high pass filter is controlled by a first phase control section, and is amplified by a first amplification section. A phase of a sound signal passing through the low pass filter is controlled by a second phase control section, and is amplified by a second amplification section. These sound signals are synthesized by a synthesis section. A drive section drives the speaker according to a synthesized sound signal. A control section switches phase inversion processing/non-inversion processing of the phase control sections and controls an amplification factor of the amplification sections based on sound power of the sound signal.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR NOISE CANCELING
A method of canceling road noise includes: receiving a first signal from an acceleration sensor disposed at a vehicle and a second signal from a microphone disposed at the vehicle; monitoring, based on the first and second signals, whether an abnormal event has occurred; determining, based on a result from monitoring whether the abnormal event has occurred, a plurality of parameter values for performing adaptive filtering; and performing, based on the determined parameter values, adaptive filtering to generating an output signal for noise canceling.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SOUND CHARACTER FOR A VEHICLE
A system for controlling sound character of a vehicle includes one or more performance enhancement systems operable to enhance powertrain performance. Each of the one or more performance enhancement systems includes a performance control input. One or more sound enhancement systems are operable to adjust at least one of an external vehicle sound and an interior sound perceived by vehicle occupants. Each of the one or more sound enhancement system includes a sound enhancement control input. A sound character control system includes a central controller operably connected to at least one performance control input and at least one sound enhancement control input. The central controller coordinates operation of at least two of the one or more performance enhancement systems and the one or more sound enhancement systems to establish one of a desired exterior sound character and an interior sound character.
MINIMIZING NUISANCE AUDIO IN AN INTERIOR SPACE
One embodiment provides a method, including: detecting, using one or more audio capture devices, nuisance audio; receiving, from one or more device sensors, contextual information; determining a mitigating audio signal based on the nuisance audio and contextual information; thereafter, emitting, from one or more audio source devices, mitigating audio into an interior space. Other aspects are described and claimed.
Active noise control arrangement, active noise control headphone and calibration method
An active noise control arrangement has a signal input (SI), a microphone input (MI), a signal output (SO) and a digital interface (DI). A signal processing block (SP) coupled to the microphone input (MI) by means of an amplifier (MA) has a digitally adjustable gain and comprises combining means (CM) and a filter (TP). The signal processing block (SP) is configured to generate an output signal at the signal output (SO) as a function of an input signal at the signal input (SI) and an amplified microphone signal. A control block (CB) is coupled to the digital interface (DI) and configured to adjust the gain of the amplifier (MA).
