Method, system, and apparatus for facilitating positioning a person in supine sniff position

Embodiments of an apparatus for supporting the neck and head of a user for airway management are described. The apparatus can include a base support section, which can rest on a supporting surface, a front side, two opposing sides and a back side with the base support section being dimensioned between about 25-26 inches in width, between about 16-17 inches in depth and about 6 inches in height with a separate and removable and replaceable head/neck support section.

DEVICE FOR ELEVATING THE HEAD AND CHEST FOR TREATING LOW BLOOD FLOW STATES
20210000685 · 2021-01-07 ·

An elevation device for use in the performance of CPR includes a base, an upper support coupled with the base that elevates an individual's heart, shoulders, and head relative to horizontal, an adjustment mechanism coupled with the upper support that adjusts elevation of the upper support, a chest compression device; and a controller system. The controller primes the circulatory system by causing the chest compression device to perform chest compressions while the individual's heart, shoulders, and head are supported by the upper support at a first elevation position for a period of time. The controller causes the adjustment mechanism to adjust the elevation of the upper support to a second elevation position after the period of time has elapsed while performing chest compressions. The controller causes the chest compression device to perform chest compressions on the individual while the individual's heart, shoulders, and head are at the second elevation position.

Apparatus and method for portable pronation device

The invention relates to a bed-sore prevention device that is modular and has universal integration capability, for effectively preventing bed-sores in patients through use of a mechanical means that may be fitted into a full spectrum of beds to support a multitude of resting positions for the patient. The lack of an assembly with boards disposed with a motor output and rails provides portability and offers solutions to proxy-health care providers, as well as care givers, with respect to fitting and unfitting the device onto any bed or lack of bed. Furthermore, the present invention solves the problem of limited resting positions with the use of mechanical means, as opposed to electro-mechanical means, for delivering or off-loading tension load onto the pliable support material. The use of a pliable support operably connected to mechanical means, with telescopic elongation thereof, results in a more precise control of a patient in a recumbent, supine, or prone position. Pronation of a patient, which may result in significant respiratory outcomes, may be supported by such device. In addition to supporting pronation, lift and rotation may be achieved by the rope and block-coupled support structureto the extent of achieving an intervening space between bed mattress and support structure. Additionally, the support structure may have additional apertures for the traversal of vital tubings and lines connected from the prone patient to a medical monitoring and therapeutic device. Moreover, tracks may be impressed on the support net, configured to house and guide the tubes and lines.

A system and a method of treatment using a universal cage creating a coordinate method of exercise. Physical therapy or fitness exercises are provided to a patient through a system of cords, blocks and belts disposed on a plurality of grid panels through a plurality of mounting devices. Placement of the mounting devices on the grid panel is determined by which muscle groups are receiving therapy and the type of movement required. Once the placement for each movement is determined, the coordinates of the mounting device are captured so that the mounting devices can be preset consistently for each therapy session.
