BED DEVICE
A bed device includes: an operation section that receives an operation input; a controller that controls a movement of the bed in accordance with the operation input; a detector that detects a position of a patient on the bed; and, a limitation table that stores a limitation area set on the bed in association with a limitation content, wherein when the position of the patient detected by the detector is included in the limitation area, the limitation content is read out from the limitation table so as to control the controller in accordance with the limitation content. With this configuration, it is possible to provide a higher safety bed device which can not only notify the danger based on the bed movement but also limit the movement of the bed in accordance with the status of the patient or the bed device.
Patient support apparatuses with wireless headwall communication
A person support apparatus includes a first transceiver adapted to wirelessly communicate with a second transceiver of a headwall interface that is positioned off of the person support apparatus. A communication link is automatically established between the first and second transceivers without requiring a user of the person support apparatus to activate a designated control and without requiring the user to identify the headwall interface. The first transceiver includes a unique identifier assigned to the headwall interface in its messages to the headwall interface. The first transceiver may also automatically transmit a disconnect signal to the headwall interface indicating the termination of the communication link is not accidental. The disconnect signal is sent based on one or more of the following: (1) a brake being off, (2) an A/C power cord being unplugged; and/or (3) a signal strength between the transceivers decreasing.
Methods and systems for automatically articulating cots
A power ambulance cot having a cot control system operably connected to a cot actuation system to control independent raising and lowering of front and back legs thereof, and which detects a presence of a signal requesting a change in elevation of a support frame thereof and causes the cot actuation system to raising or the lowering of the front and/or back legs automatically upon detecting a condition during loading/unloading a patient from an emergency vehicle or transporting the patient up or down an escalator and methods thereafter are disclosed.
MEDICAL DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A MEDICAL DEVICE
A medical device of an embodiment includes at least one movably mounted and motor-adjustable component; at least one drive unit for adjusting the at least one component; at least one motor control unit associated with the drive unit; and at least one sensing unit for sensing a position parameter dependent on the position of the at least one component. According to an embodiment of the invention, a safety function is integrated in the motor control unit. The safety function limits at least one operating parameter associated with the motion of the at least one component to be performed. An apparatus control unit controls the drive unit in dependence on the position parameter in accordance with the safety function. At least one embodiment of the invention further relates to a method for operating a medical device.
Method for controlling electrically driven vehicle, and electrically driven vehicle
According to a control method for an electric vehicle of the present invention, when an electric vehicle (100) moves at a first velocity and approaches an object (200) on the basis of instructed information, the electric vehicle (100) is temporarily stopped at a position at which the distance between the electric vehicle (100) and the object (200) is a first stopping distance, after which the velocity is switched to a second velocity that is slower than the first velocity, the electric vehicle (100) is caused to approach the object (200), and the electric vehicle (100) is stopped at position at which the distance between the electric vehicle (100) and the object (200) is a second stopping distance that is shorter than the first stopping distance.
Techniques for controlling actuators of a patient support apparatus
Systems, methods, and techniques for operating a patient support apparatus are disclosed. The patient support apparatus includes moveable components and actuators to actuate the components. A user interface receives a user input to manipulate the actuatable components and produces an input signal in response to receiving the user input. A behavior controller receives the input signal from the user interface, generates a motion command signal based on the input signal, and transmits the motion command signal. A motion controller receives the motion command signal from the behavior controller and receives feedback signals from one or more of the actuators. The feedback signals are provided solely to the motion controller. The motion controller controls one or more of the actuators to actuate one or more of the actuatable components based on the motion command signal and the feedback signals.
PROXIMITY WARNING SYSTEM FOR PARKED VEHICLES
A proximity alert system for a vehicle having a mobility access device that is moveable between a stowed position and a deployed position may include a control system, a sensor system, and an annunciator system. The control system operates the sensor system to detect a presence of an object within a defined sensing region exterior to the vehicle when the mobility access device is in the stowed position. The control system operates the annunciator system when the sensor system detects the presence of the object within the defined sensing region.
