The systems can include a joint member having three separate movable connections to a tonearm, guiding slot and slidable pivot base, wherein a rear pivot location of the tonearm is on the slidable pivot base. A movement of the tonearm can cause the joint member to adjust a position of the slidable pivot base, as a function of a configuration of the guiding slot, and this combination of interactions is combined to impart substantial linear tracking for the tonearm.
