Therapeutic device for post-operative knee
A method for exercising a joint and a limb including the following: preventing movement of an exercise device actuation member in a first direction unless pressure exerted by the limb against the actuation member is equal to or greater than a predetermined first target pressure; permitting movement of the actuation member in the first direction at a first predetermined speed when pressure exerted by the limb against the actuation member is equal to or greater than the predetermined first target pressure; preventing movement of the actuation member in a second direction unless pressure exerted by the limb against the actuation member is equal to or greater than a predetermined second target pressure; and permitting movement of the actuation member in the second direction at a second predetermined speed when pressure exerted by the limb against the actuation member is equal to or greater than the predetermined second target pressure.
Exoskeleton system
An exoskeleton system is passively powered and pneumatically operated. The system may be a lower-limb system for walking gait restoration. The system may include a first linear actuator located in front of an upper leg section and a second linear actuator located behind a lower leg section.
EXOSKELETON DEVICE AND CONTROL SYSTEM
This document describes an exoskeleton device that includes a cable, a lever that is connected to the cable, a frame comprising a strut that redirects the cable toward the lever, wherein the frame is coupled to the lever by a rotational joint; and a motor that is connected to the cable and configured to cause the cable to provide a torque about the rotational joint, wherein the cable is configured to provide the torque by exerting a first force on the lever and a second force on the frame, and wherein the cable is further configured to provide the torque in a first rotational direction and is prevented from applying the torque in an opposite rotational direction to the first rotational direction.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A COMPRESSED CONTROLLER FOR AN ACTIVE EXOSKELETON
A system to augment motion via a battery-powered active exoskeleton boot is provided. The system can include a controller and an electric motor that generates torque about an axis of rotation of an ankle joint of the user. The controller can receive sensor data associated with activity of the exoskeleton boot during a first time interval. The controller can determine, based on the sensor data input into a model trained via a machine learning technique associated with one or more users performing one or more physical activities, one or more commands for a second time interval. The controller can transmit the one or more commands generated based on the model to the electric motor to cause the electric motor to generate torque about the axis of rotation of the ankle joint of the user in the second time interval.
WALKING ASSISTANCE DEVICE
A walking assistance device includes: a belt-shaped lumbar region fixture wound around a lumbar region; a first elastic string-like member an upper part of which is fixed to the lumbar region fixture at a position of an anterior superior iliac spine and a lower part of which extends in an instep direction of a leg and is hooked to a toe region of a sole; and a second elastic string-like member an upper part of which is fixed to the lumbar region fixture above a position of an ischial tuberosity and a lower part of which extends in an ankle direction and is hooked to a heel region of the sole, wherein each of the first elastic string-like member and the second elastic string-like member is bifurcated near a knee of a leg, and the bifurcated parts of the first elastic string-like member and the second elastic string-like member are bound to each other at positions of an outer knee joint fissure gap and an inner knee joint fissure gap.
CHARGING SEAT AND PROGRAM
A charging seat includes a processor having hardware. The processor is configured to detect that a user is seated in a seat portion, detect an electric assistance apparatus that is worn by the user and assists the user in walking, and supply electric power in conformity with a charging standard of the electric assistance apparatus to the electric assistance apparatus.
Modular footwear protuberance assembly
A footwear device comprising: a sole assembly comprising at least one connective element; at least one protuberance assembly comprising a base and a cap, said base and cap configured to rotatively align; a locking fixture configured to lock and unlock said alignment of said base and cap; and a fastening fixture configured to fasten said base to said track in a selected position in said track.
Device and method for foot exercise
There is provided a foot exercising device of exercising a foot using the device. The foot exercising device comprises a foot support and a tilting arrangement. A sensor means is arranged in the tilting arrangement and/or on the elevated footrest to measure the pressure applied to the calf and the pressure on the sole of a foot supported on the footrest respectively. A display means presents the measured pressure to an operator of the foot exercising device. There is also provided a method for controlling and/or monitoring an exercise of a foot using the foot exercising device.
CHAIR, PRESSING DEVICE
The invention relates to a chair for accommodating a person. The chair includes an upper body section having an upper body contact surface adapted or adaptable to at least parts of a front of a torso or a rear of a torso of a person placed on the chair, and a lower body section having a lower body contact surface adapted or adaptable to at least parts of at least a front of a thigh of the person, wherein the upper body section and the lower body section are arranged or arrangeable and fixable in a position relative to each other such that the upper body contact surface and the lower body contact surface cause a hyperextension posture of the hip joint of the person with a predetermined hyperextension angle. By forming the hyperextension angle of the hip on the chair, shortening of the anterior thigh and hip muscles can be counteracted. Also disclosed are a pressing device for application to the human body, which is adapted for use on a chair and which includes one or more pressure units each having at least one pressure head adapted to apply local or point pressure at a predetermined pressure location on the body of a person accommodated on the chair, and a chair having such a pressing device.
Method and apparatus for bi-directional ankle exercise
Apparatus for bi-directional ankle exercise movements has a main frame with a seat and upwardly extending columns at either side to support a “U” shaped sub-frame, mounted so that it pivots about a horizontal axis passing very nearly through the ankles of a seated user and interconnecting linkages simultaneously enforcing ankle inversion, with plantarflexion and then ankle aversion, with dorsiflexion, about perpendicularly intersecting axes, while resisting such movements, so as to provide bidirectional ankle exercises according to a progressive resistance program, thus strengthening the ankle muscle groups for enhanced balance and dynamic stability.
