Reinforced therapeutic wrap and method
A therapy wrap for treatment of at least a portion of an animate body having improved kink resistance. The therapy wrap may be selectively reinforced for improved kink resistance in only a portion of the wrap. The reinforcement may decrease the kink radius. The wrap may include a kink reducer in all or only a selected kink-prone region. The kink reducer may be selectively configured attachment points or spot welds. The therapy wrap may include a reinforcement layer of one or more discrete reinforcement members. The wrap may be formed by pre-tensioning the material layers while forming the fluid bladder and/or gas pressure bladder. The therapy wrap may be adapted to compensate for conditions that normally cause kinking of the wrap or buckling of the fluidic channels. Also disclosed are methods of manufacturing the wrap and methods of administering a temperature-controlled treatment to an anatomical body part.
Portable oscillating compression system
A portable oscillating compression system including an for compressing air; an accumulator tank for receiving and storing the compressed air from the air compressor; an air pressure adjustment module for modulating pressure of the compressed air when the compressed air exits the accumulator tank; a valve body assembly attached to the accumulator tank, a plurality of inflatable cuffs connected to the valve body assemble for receiving the compressed air from the valve body assembly; a controller for controlling the valve body assembly; a power supply; and a housing for containing said system.
METHODS AND DEVICES TO IMPROVE THE EFFICACY OF CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION
A system and method for integrating and synchronizing an automated mechanical cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) device with components of cardiac catheterization laboratories so as to enhance the efficacy of each intervention. Synchronization can include image gating so that a monitor shows real time images during relaxation of the CPR, and a static image during compression of the CPR.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PULSE CYCLE PRESSURE MODULATION AND NEGATIVE PRESSURE THERAPY
The present invention relates to a system and method for pulse cycle pressure modulation and negative pressure therapy in a cardio synchronous manner to improve distal limb blood flow applying negative or variable pressure to a portion of the body. The invention relates to methods and apparatus for the application of a sequential and gradient pulse wave for treating wounds that are difficult to heal or livelihood limiting claudication and/or ischemic rest pain. An integral part of the present invention includes methods to determine blood flow and effects of treatments on tissue.
ADULT PLEASURE ENHANCEMENT NECK PRESSURE CUFF WITH SAFETY RELEASE
The invention relates to an adult choke pleasure enhancement adjustable pressure cuff device. Participants can engage in solo autoerotic asphyxiation (AEA) without accidentally suffocating to death. The adjustable cuff is inflatable and sized to encompass a participant's neck and has a timed safety release function. The participant can apply the device at default setting to fit snugly, but not impede blood flow. The participant can inflate the device to the desired level of pressure that would remain at that setting at participant's discretion. They can control what happens and for how long, as long as the participant is not incapacitated. However, if at any time, the controls/settings are not engaged by the participant, the device would automatically default to zero pressure after a set time. The use of the device therefore allows a participant to safely engage in solo AEA without risking injury or death.
MOVABLE LIMB COMPRESSION AND CIRCULATION APPARATUS
Provided is a limb compression and circulation apparatus in which, due to a small and light body and a rechargeable power supply device, the limb compression and circulation apparatus is usable regardless of place while being worn and used by a user who is moving. The limb compression and circulation apparatus may include a first air hose connected to one end of an air pressurization portion to send air generated by the air pressurization portion and a plurality of second air hoses connected to the other end of the first air hose and allowing the air generated by the air pressurization portion to diverge and to blow into an air cuff so as to perform effective air divergence. The limb compression and circulation apparatus may prevent air leakage by coupling an air inlet/outlet hole of a second adaptor with an air hose to communicate with each other.
THERAPEUTIC COMPRESSION APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE
A therapeutic compression system for providing gradient compression to a limb or other body part, including at least one therapeutic compression apparatus having at least one elastic sock or sleeve integral and connected to at least one wrap having at least one bladder and a universal inflation port to connect to an inflation means to the at least one bladder. The connecting means connects the at least one elastic sock or sleeve in one embodiment by buttons inserted and connected into apertures on the at least one wrap. The inflation port has an open and closed mechanism so that when closed it maintains the level of inflation in the at least one bladder. The inflation means provides either constant or varying pressure within the bladder and a check valve is included in the inflation port and/or inflation means. The inflation means may be connected to a stabilization means configured to be attached to a body part of the user or a belt or bag or other means around for example, the shoulder, leg, waist or arm of the body. The inventive therapeutic compression apparatus and system is stabilized and secured on the user when the user moves the target body part.
EXTERNAL COUNTERPULSATION DEVICE
Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and device for performing external counterpulsation. The external counterpulsation device can include a cuff including a body, a first end, and a second end. In some examples, the external counterpulsation device includes a removable tubular connector, a removably attached bladder, and a securing material extending across a length of the body of the cuff. The external counterpulsation device also includes a u-shaped buckle having a first arm, a second arm, and an opening. The first arm is configured to extend through the opening of the first end of the cuff and the second arm is configured to form a roller. The opening of the buckle is formed between the first arm and the second arm and is configured to allow the body of the cuff to extend through the u-shaped buckle.
Apparatus and method for deploying a surgical preparation
A device used for applying an antiseptic preparation, such as an antibiotic solution or water, or all other substance deemed necessary in treating a wound prior to arrival at a hospital or other treatment facility or for continuing wound therapy and maintenance while hospitalized, in an out-patient facility or at home. A loose-fitting bag is provided which encloses the wound by securing the open end(s) to the patient by closing means. The bag further includes ports or resealable flaps that allow access to the wound for treatment and cleaning while containing all fluids resulting therefrom. A high friction scrub surface is provided in the bag. A method and apparatus are also provided for wound maintenance with a lavage system.
Systems and methods for controlling blood pressure
A system for controlling blood pressure includes a wearable interface having an internal contact surface, the wearable interface configured to at least partially encircle a first portion of a first limb of a subject, a sensing module carried by the wearable interface and configured to determine at least a change in blood pressure of the first limb of the subject, and an energy application module carried by the wearable interface and configured to apply energy of two or more types to the first limb of the subject.
