Concurrent transmission and playback of audio information
In a network comprising a plurality of synchrony groups, including at least a first synchrony group and a second synchrony group, wherein a first zone player is a member of the first synchrony group and a second zone player is a member of the second synchrony group, a method comprising: transmitting, by the first zone player while the first zone player is playing a first audio information, a second audio information to the second zone player, wherein the second audio information is different from the first audio information; and playing, by the second synchrony group, the second audio information while the first synchrony group is playing the first audio information.
MULTI-STREAM VIDEO RECORDING SYSTEM USING LABELS
A video recording system is disclosed and claimed. In particular, the disclosed video recording system maintains a master stream of video and audio when recording is initiated, but also allows the user to create additional label streams by activating an input control. The label stream can be terminated by activating the input control a second time. The label stream comprises only the portion of the video and audio between the activations of the input control, while the master stream will contain all audio and video that is recorded on the device.
Apparatus and Method of Mapping a Virtual Environment
A method of mapping a virtual environment comprises obtaining a first sequence of video images output by a videogame title; obtaining a corresponding sequence of in-game virtual camera positions at which the video images were created; obtaining a corresponding sequence of depth buffer values for a depth buffer used by the videogame whilst creating the video images; and for each of a plurality of video images and corresponding depth buffer values of the obtained sequences, obtain mapping points corresponding to a sampling distribution of points over the area of a respective video image and their associated depth values; wherein respective mapping points are obtained by projecting co-ordinated derived from the sample points from the video image and associated depth values back into a 3D game world co-ordinate system of the videogame title; thereby obtaining a point cloud dataset of mapping points corresponding to the first sequence of video images.
Synchronizing operations among a plurality of independently clocked digital data processing devices
Example systems, apparatus, and methods receive audio information including a plurality of frames from a source device, wherein each frame of the plurality of frames includes one or more audio samples and a time stamp indicating when to play the one or more audio samples of the respective frame. In an example, the time stamp is updated for each of the plurality of frames using a time differential value determined between clock information received from the source device and clock information associated with the device. The updated time stamp is stored for each of the plurality of frames, and the audio information is output based on the plurality of frames and associated updated time stamps. A number of samples per frame to be output is adjusted based on a comparison between the updated time stamp for the frame and a predicted time value for play back of the frame.

Audio distributor selection
A system is described for maintaining synchrony of operations among a plurality of devices that have independent clocking arrangements. The system includes a task distribution device that distributes tasks to a synchrony group comprising a plurality of devices that are to perform the tasks distributed by the task distribution device in synchrony. The task distribution device distributes each task to the members of the synchrony group over a network. Each task is associated with a time stamp that indicates a time, relative to a clock maintained by the task distribution device, at which the members of the synchrony group are to execute the task. Each member of the synchrony group periodically obtains from the task distribution device an indication of the current time indicated by its clock, determines a time differential between the task distribution device's clock and its respective clock and determines therefrom a time at which, according to its respective clock, the time stamp indicates that it is to execute the task.
MULTI-SENSOR EVENT CORRELATION SYSTEM
A sensor event detection and tagging system that analyzes data from multiple sensors to detect an event and to automatically select or generate tags for the event. Sensors may include for example a motion capture sensor and one or more additional sensors that measure values such as temperature, humidity, wind or elevation. Tags and event detection may be performed by a microprocessor associated with or integrated with the sensors, or by a computer that receives data from the microprocessor. Tags may represent for example activity types, players, performance levels, or scoring results. The system may analyze social media postings to confirm or augment event tags. Users may filter and analyze saved events based on the assigned tags. The system may create highlight and fail reels filtered by metrics and by tags.
Video recording and playback systems and methods
A method of detecting significant footage for recording from a videogame includes obtaining position information for a target object within a virtual environment of the videogame, obtaining depth buffer information for a current position of a virtual camera used to generate a current image of the virtual environment for display by the videogame, calculating a first distance along a line between the current position of the virtual camera and the obtained position of the target object, detecting whether a depth buffer value along the line corresponds to at least a threshold distance from the virtual camera, the threshold distance being based upon the calculated first distance, and if so, associating the current image with an indicator that the image is significant for the purposes of recording footage from the videogame.
