METHOD, SYSTEM, COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT AND DEVICE FOR FACILITATING CENTRALIZED CONTROL AND MONITORING OVER A NETWORK OF A SET OF REMOTE BATHING UNIT SYSTEMS
A method, device and system to facilitate centralized control and monitoring of remote network-enabled bathing unit systems owned and operated by different customers are described. A Graphical User Interface (GUI) is provided for presenting on a computing device a listing of bathing unit systems owned and operated by different customers. The GUI is also configured for displaying operational status indicators associated with at least some of the bathing unit systems presented in the listing of bathing unit systems. Data conveying updated operational status information pertaining to one or more of the bathing unit systems in the listing of bathing unit systems is received over a communication network and, in response, the GUI is dynamically adapted to display updated operational status indicators. User operable inputs may also be provided by the GUI to allow a user to add a new entry to the listing of bathing unit systems. In some implementations, the GUI may be configured to present information conveying one or more replacement parts available for purchase for the bathing unit systems in the displayed listing.
Local feature controller for pool and spa equipment
A local feature controller for pool and spa equipment is provided. The local feature controller can be pre-programmed to selectively control operation of devices near the local feature controller, namely, a valve actuator, water fountain, pool light, landscaping light, etc. The local feature controller can operate autonomously, or under the control of the central controller. The local feature controller could include a liquid crystal display (LCD) and associated user input keys for allowing a user to interact with and control the controller. The local feature controller could be buried underground, and it could be powered by one or more local power sources, namely, a rechargeable battery, line-level (AC) power, a solar panel, or a liquid turbine installed inline with a return line from the pool's filtration system.
AUTOMATED TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR SPAS
Described herein is an improved spa system including an operating mode that results in efficient and/or reduced electrical energy consumption while ensuring the use temperature is achieved no matter the time and/or date at which the user desires to enjoy the spa. The operating mode described herein may obtain information indicating a time at which a user may like to enjoy the spa, precisely determine a time it may take to heat water in the spa from an ambient temperature to the use temperature, and cause the spa pump and/or heater to begin the process of heating the water to the use temperature at least the determined time prior to the time at which the user may begin enjoying the spa. A spa may not achieve peak efficiency without a spa operating mode that calculates the estimated time to heat a spa from an ambient temperature to the use temperature.
Remote spa control system
A spa is provided including a frame, a shell mounted to the frame defining a basin for holding water, at least one sensor for monitoring a spa component or water condition, a communications interface including a cellular transceiver, and a battery for providing power to the at least one sensor and to the communications interface when the spa is not connected to a power source. The spa also includes a controller in electrical communication with the at least one sensor and the communications interface. The controller is configured to, while the spa is not connected to the power source, receive information from the at least one sensor, process the received information, and cause the communications interface to wirelessly transmit the processed information to a remote source or central server.
Systems and Methods for Controlling Pool/Spa Devices
Systems and methods are provided for the control of pool/spa device circuits. A control system may control such circuits in response to command data received from local or remote client devices. Feature circuits and light groups may be defined via a user interface to include a group of pool/spa device circuits or light circuits, respectively. Activating a feature circuit may involve performing an associated logic function. Multiple feature circuits may be assigned to a feature circuit group which, when activated, may activate all feature circuits assigned to the feature group. The control system may control the performance of freeze protection and automatic cleaner functions, and may control light circuits to synchronized, color-changing light effects. Commands may be issued to the control system and system data may be stored and retrieved from a remote database via web servers, web application programming interface servers, and/or inter-server communication buses.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR WIRELESS TRANSMISSION OF ELECTRICITY FOR SPA ILLUMINATION
This disclosure relates generally to induction systems for wirelessly transmitting electricity. Specifically, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods and systems for wirelessly transmitting electricity to a light incorporated within, for example, a spa. In some embodiments, the systems include at least one pair of induction coils (e.g., receiving and transmitting coils) incorporated into a selectively removable spa seatback. The at least one pair of induction coils can be used to wirelessly transmit electricity to a light disposed within the selectively removable spa seatback. In some embodiments, a converter is incorporated into the system to adjust at least one characteristic of the light, such as brightness, color, and/or a lighting pattern.
AUTOMATIC DISCOVERY OF POOL PAD EQUIPMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and a method are provided for automatically discovering one or more pool devices of a connected aquatic system. The one or more pool devices can be provided in a form of one or more secondary panels and one or more pool components. A primary panel can broadcast a discovery message to identify the one or more secondary panels and/or the one or more pool components connected to the primary panel of the connected aquatic system. An identification response is generated and transmitted from the one or more secondary panels and/or the one or more pool components in response to the discovery message from the primary panel. The primary panel can receive and process the identification response and update a discovery status for each of the one or more secondary panels or the one or more pool components based on the identification response.
