SUPPORTING DEVICE AND RELATED ELECTRONIC APPARATUS
A supporting device is assembled with an accommodating device of an electronic apparatus. The supporting device includes a casing and an engaging module. The engaging module is slidably disposed on the casing to engage with the accommodating device. The engaging module includes an engaging component, a pressing component and a fixing component. The engaging component includes an engaging portion and a sliding slot. The engaging portion is engaged with the accommodating device. The pressing component is disposed on the engaging component in a resiliently deformable manner. The fixing component pierces through the sliding slot to fix the engaging component on the casing.
CARTRIDGE MODULE ALIGNMENT AND MOUNTING SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD
A cartridge module alignment and mounting system, apparatus and method for mounting of a plurality of removable modules where the modules can be densely packed within the apparatus and where physical alignment of the module is maintained during insertion and removal so that the modules are easily connected or disconnected to a printed circuit board. The system includes an alignment pin affixable to the printed circuit board, and a carrier attachable to an electronic device such as a data storage device. The carrier can include a pin bore configured to receive a portion of the alignment pin thereby removably connecting and aligning the electronic device to the printed circuit board so that a space is defined between adjacent electronic devices. The space allows airflow or fluid flow to pass therebetween increasing heat dissipation of the electronic devices and the printed circuit board.
INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM STORAGE DRIVE CARRIER
An information handling system storage bay accepts 2.5 inch and 3.5 inch storage drives held in a storage drive carrier sized to hold 3.5 inch storage drives and having an adapter that couples to the storage drive carrier to adapt it to hold 2.5 inch drives. The storage drive carrier is manufactured as a contiguous piece from a mold with hard plastic to integrate the adapter so that the adapter breaks free to couple to the storage drive carrier when a small size drive is to be held. Snaps in the contiguous piece couple with the adapter after the adapter is broken free to store the adapter when a larger sized drive is held by the storage drive carrier.
Enclosure for coupling storage device to a computer
A mechanical enclosure provides a mechanism for coupling a storage device to a computer system. The mechanical enclosure can be removably coupled to the computer system and can allow for coupling of the storage device to the computer system without using specialty cables and connectors. The mechanical enclosure can allow the storage device to be coupled to computer system without significantly degrading the speed at which the data stored within the storage device is downloaded onto the computer. The storage device can be inserted into the mechanical enclosure which couples the storage device to the mechanical enclosure. The mechanical enclosure can be inserted into the computer system which similarly couples the computer system to the mechanical enclosure to effectively couple the storage device and the computer system. Once the storage device is effectively coupled to the computer system, the data stored within the storage device can be downloaded onto the computer without the need for specialty cables and connectors.
Tray device with rotatable handle
A tray device includes a tray body and a bracket mounted on the tray body. The tray body includes at least one connecting plate, a resilient sheet, and a handle assembly. The resilient sheet is coupled to the at least one connecting plate. The handle assembly includes a handle, a rotating shaft, and a snap hook. One end of the handle is hinge-mounted to the at least one connecting plate through the rotating shaft. The snap hook is located on the handle. The handle is fixed to the at least one connecting plate through the snap hook.
Thick adaptive device carrier
A drive carrier for a device of an information handling system includes first and second portions. The first and second portions are placed in physical communication with the device. The first portion includes first and second side rails to secure the device within the drive carrier. The first and second side rails slide within a first slot of a bay of the information handling system. The second portion is located on top of the first portion and floats away from and toward the first portion when the drive carrier is inserted with the bay of the information handling system. An amount of float for the second portion is based on a bay pitch of the bay.
OPTICAL DISC DRIVE AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
Provided is an optical disc drive that can implement a conveying roller position manipulation mechanism, a centering mechanism, and a chucking pulley operation mechanism, while allowing the number of components to be reduced. A base frame includes a spindle motor and an optical element. An inner case houses the base frame, and supports a conveying mechanism configured to convey an optical disc to the position of the spindle motor. An outer case houses the inner case. The base frame is fixed in the inner case via a first damper, and the inner case is fixed in the outer case via a second damper.
System for electromagnetic interference shielding
A drive carrier for retaining a persistent storage drive in an enclosure. The drive carrier includes a mounting bracket, a handle coupled to the mounting bracket, and an electromagnetic interference (“EMI”) shielding apparatus disposed between mounting bracket and at least a portion of the handle. The mounting bracket is shaped to be coupled to the persistent storage drive. The EMI-shielding apparatus includes a plurality of EMI-shielding fingers. Each EMI-shielding finger includes a lower surface, an upper surface that is approximately parallel to the lower surface, and a contoured surface extending between the lower surface and the upper surface.
Storage device attachment and detachment structure and display device
A storage device attachment and detachment structure comprising a holding member configured to hold a storage device with a storage medium, and a pressure member including a biasing portion that has an end portion connected to the holding member, the biasing portion being configured to contact the storage device to press the storage device in a biasing direction toward the holding member, the pressure member being movable to a pressure release position in which the pressure member is separated from the storage device in an opposite direction of the biasing direction to release pressure relative to the storage device.
Base plate, spindle motor, disk drive apparatus and manufacturing method of base plate
A base plate is a portion of a housing of a disk drive apparatus, including a base body being a casting product, and an electrodeposition coating film covering at least a portion of a surface of the base body. The base body includes a bottom plate rectangular as viewed from an axial direction, a pivot post, and a protrusion. The bottom plate extends perpendicular to a rotation axis of a disk that extends vertically and a swing axis of a head that is disposed in a different position from the rotation axis and that extends vertically. The head reads or writes information from or to the disk. The pivot post protrudes upward from an upper surface of the bottom plate along the swing axis. The protrusion is provided protruding radially outward from a peripheral surface of the pivot post and protruding to the upper surface of the bottom plate.
