A server adapted to server cabinet having a fan assembly and a power supply. The server includes a chassis, a main board module, a data storage, a signal-transferring module and a docking module. The chassis has a bottom plate, a first side plate and a second side plate disposed on the bottom plate. The main board module is placed along the first side plate. The data storage module is placed along the second side plate. The signal-transferring module is placed along the first side plate. The signal-transferring module is located at the back of the main board module. The signal-transferring module is connected between the main board module and the data storage module. The docking module is disposed on the bottom plate. The docking module is connected to the data storage module and the signal-transferring module. The docking module is connectable to the power supply and the fan assembly.
Collapsible assemblies for air flow control
A cooling assembly includes an air mover assembly including an inlet. The cooling assembly further includes an air management assembly that is coupled to the air mover assembly and that includes circular components arranged concentrically with respect to each other such that the circular components can move between an open position and a closed position. In the open position, the circular components have gaps between each other. In the closed position, the circular components reduce or eliminate the gaps between each other.
MULTIBODY CHAMBERED ACOUSTIC ATTENUATOR FOR A DATA STORAGE SYSTEM
A data storage system includes a chassis housing multiple data storage devices, such as hard disk drives, a compartment housing cooling fans, and an air plenum positioned between the fans and the storage devices. A multibody chambered acoustic attenuator, which may be installed in the air plenum, includes a plate part having airflow holes therethrough and may include a convex arched part having airflow holes therethrough and coupled with the plate part to form a chamber. Acoustic damping material lines an interior surface of the plate part and the interior and exterior surfaces of the arched part, and the airflow holes of the plate part and of the arched part are not aligned, such that direct acoustic emissions and reflections would contact the acoustic damping material and a circuitous airflow path is provided from the cooling fans to the storage devices, to reduce the acoustic sound pressure upon the devices.

Apparatus, system, and method for improving the performance of hardware components undergoing service in open chassis drawers
A disclosed system includes (1) at least one hardware component mounted to a drawer of a chassis, (2) a fan module capable of generating airflow to cool the hardware component, and (3) an extensible airduct coupled between the hardware component and the fan module such that, when the drawer of the chassis is opened, the extensible airduct stretches out to lengthen a distance between the hardware component and the fan module and, when the drawer of the chassis is closed, the extensible airduct contracts to shorten the distance between the hardware component and the fan module. Various other apparatuses, systems, and methods are also disclosed.
INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM VISUAL PRESENTATION WITH AUDIO VECTOR BASED INFORMATION
A portable information handling system executes an application, such as a game, that generates audio information for presentation at multiple speakers through multiple channels. An audio vector engine analyzes the channels to derive a direction and distance associated with the audio information so that a visual cue of the relative location of the origin of the audio information may be presented at a display. In one embodiment, the display is a secondary display having a transparent view into the information handling system. In another embodiment, the direction and distance to a sound origin is presented over a map of a game in which the sound originated, such as a shot fired in a game.
Isolated vibration structure for fan bay module and HDD cage
An isolated vibration assembly for a computing device includes a top assembly having a top plate. The assembly further includes a base assembly having a base plate that is generally parallel to and offset from the top plate. A partition assembly is positioned generally perpendicularly between the top plate and the bottom plate, with two partition plates defining an internal space. A plurality of vibration isolators is attached in an interspersed manner to one or more surfaces of the top plate, the base plate, or the two partition plates. A computing device is removably installed within the internal space, generating vibrations that are reduced when passing through the plurality of vibration isolators.

A system for storing data includes a rack, one or more data storage modules coupled to the rack, and one or more data control modules coupled to the rack. The data storage modules may include a chassis, two or more backplanes coupled to the chassis, and one or more mass storage devices (for example, hard disk drives) coupled to the backplanes. The data control modules may access the mass storage devices in the data storage modules.
System and method for controlling internal temperature of media library
A media library includes a library housing, a heat-producing device, one or more storage media and an air mover assembly. The library housing can include a library interior where the library interior can include a first wall and a second wall positioned opposite the first wall. The heat-producing device can be positioned near the first wall of the library interior. The one or more storage media can be positioned in the library interior between the heat-producing device and the second wall. The air mover assembly can be is configured to move air into the library interior through the first wall and out of the library interior through the second wall. The heat-producing device can include one or more of a media drive, a power supply and a controller. The air mover assembly can move air through the heat-producing device before the air moves through the one or more storage media.
