The method also includes continuing to monitor for the interruption, and upon determining that the interruption is not currently active, resuming concurrently performing the test operations on the first and second logical units.
Hard disk device simulator, testing system using hard disk device simulators and testing method thereof
A hard disk device simulator, a testing system using the hard disk device simulator and a testing method thereof are disclosed. The hard disk device simulator having a detection circuit is serially connected to a test port of a device under test, and a test program is executed on the device under test to read a signal link status of an insertion slot of the device under test and transmit a detection command through the test port, to drive a detection circuit of the hard disk device simulator to detect signals on a power pin, a clock pin and a system management bus, to generate a detection result, thereby verifying correctness of the device under test based on the signal link status and the detection result. As a result, the technical effect of reducing the cost of testing the device under test can be achieved.
Codeword interleaving for magnetic storage media
The present disclosure describes aspects of codeword interleaving for magnetic storage media. In some aspects, segments of a codeword are spread or interleaved across multiple sectors of magnetic storage media. Data for one or more codewords may be received by a read channel and, for each codeword, a respective indicator is selected or received. The indicator may indicate which partitions of the multiple sectors that segments of one of the codewords are to be written. The data is then encoded to provide the codewords and segments of the codewords are placed in an interleaver based on the respective indicator corresponding to the codeword. The codeword segments are written from the interleaver to partitions of the multiple sectors of the magnetic storage media. By so doing, codewords may be spread across multiple sectors, such that a loss of a few sectors does not prevent readback and decoding of the codewords.
Magnetic disk device
According to one embodiment, a magnetic disk device includes a disk that has a track including a first servo sector and a second servo sector that is different from the first servo sector, a head that writes data to the disk and reads data from the disk, and a controller that records first signal strength record data related to a signal strength at which first target servo data that is a target of the first servo sector is read, and standardizes first signal strength data related to a signal strength at which the first target servo data is read when the first target servo data is read.

According to one embodiment, a disk device includes a magnetic disk, a magnetic head, a first FPC, and a second FPC. The first FPC includes first terminals. The magnetic head is mounted on the first FPC and electrically connected to at least one of the first terminals. The second FPC includes a surface, second terminals on the surface, and a first ground plane. The second terminals are individually bonded to the corresponding first terminals with a conductive bonding material. The first ground plane covers at least one of the second terminals in a direction orthogonal to the surface. The second terminals include a first read terminal through which an electric signal representing information read from the magnetic disk by the magnetic head passes. The first ground plane is located apart from at least a part of the first read terminal in a direction along the surface.

Method and device for improving file system write bandwidth through hard disk track management
Various implementations of hard disk track management method, device, and system disclosed herein enable improvements of file system write bandwidth. In various implementations, a method is performed at a disk storage including a file controller controlling a disk drive with a disk platter that is divided into multiple regions including a fast region. In various implementations, the method includes receiving a write request associated with data to be written to the disk drive and in response, determining a disk utilization of the disk drive.
