Methods for treating Blepharitis, Meibomian Gland Dysfunction and Dry Eye Syndrome include thermal massage, thermal debridement, and thermal expression. Particular embodiments include use of handheld devices that provide the thermal therapy to tissue by contacting a surface heated with thermal energy to a patient's tissue. Thermal energy can be continuously provided during operation. In particular embodiments, a handheld device comprises a base assembly operatively connected to a removeable thermal energy applicator. A wide range of thermal applicators may be connected to the base assembly to provide different treatments, including heat application, debridement, and expression of the treated tissue or gland.

The reciprocal linear motion is generated by a small motor which drives a screw and nut mechanism, to which a bracket and gripper is attached. Inserted into the gripper is a flexible sleeve. The movement of the gripper and sleeve against the penis provides pressure and motion against the penis inside the sleeve in a manner similar to sexual intercourse. A skin cleansing device has a base body and a removable cleansing head. The base body houses a vacuum pump and has a mount for connecting to the removable cleansing head. The mount has an opening into the base body and a support surface. The removable cleansing head has a collection portion and a mounting portion. The collection portion defines an inlet and an internal cavity. The mounting portion has a stem defining a channel fluidly connected to the internal cavity. The cleansing head is removably connectable to the base body with the stem being configured to be received in the opening of the mount. The vacuum pump is configured to generate a fluid flow through the internal cavity and the channel into the base body such that a suction force is generated at the inlet.

An air massager includes an air flow generator having an output, a nozzle in fluid communication with the output, and a pulsed air generator located between the output and the nozzle. Operation of the pulsed air generator alternately allows and restricts air flow from the output to the nozzle. A method of operating the massager is also provided.
