Exoskeleton device
A method of using an ankle exoskeleton device is provided herein. The method includes collecting one or more biomechanical data points from an individual. The method also includes developing individualized musculoskeletal simulations based on the one or more biomechanical data points. In addition, the method includes creating predictive simulations by modeling effects of an ankle exoskeleton device on the individualized musculoskeletal simulations. The method also includes utilizing established device-user relationships with real-time measurements to adjust device control. Lastly, the method includes optimizing design parameters of the exoskeleton device based on the predictive simulations and user responses.
MOBILITY SYSTEM
The disclosure relates to a mobility system. The mobility system has at least one driven exoskeleton for a person. The at least one driven exoskeleton has at least one electronic unit that controls and/or regulates an operating state of the exoskeleton. At least one vehicle has a passenger compartment and at least one mechanical coupling station, which is arranged in the passenger compartment. The exoskeleton can be mechanically coupled to the mechanical coupling station. The vehicle has at least one electronic device, wherein the electronic unit is connectable, via at least one communication connection, to the electronic device.
Exoskeleton and Method of Transferring a Weight of a Load from the Exoskeleton to a Support Surface
An exoskeleton comprises at least one load-bearing element including a flexible hose, sleeve or cable having a first end portion and a second end portion opposite the first end portion. The first end portion is engageable with a load and is configured to transfer a weight of the load to the hose, sleeve or cable. The hose, sleeve or cable is configured to transfer the weight of the load from the first end portion to the second end portion, and the second end portion is configured to transfer the weight of the load to a support surface upon which the exoskeleton is supported.
Leg therapy apparatus
A leg therapy apparatus is provided which enables the user to easily and comfortable engage the various muscles of the leg, providing the leg muscles with a therapeutic message which helps to loosen and relieve sore or damages muscles. The apparatus may also be used to assist in the removal of cellulite from areas of the leg. The apparatus is basically comprised of a frame structure means, a user engagement means, a coupling means, and an optional resistance means. The frame structure means has at least two main support members coupled together in such a manner that the leg of the user may be placed within, with the main support members surrounding a significant portion of the leg. The main support members are adjustably coupled together by the coupling means such that they may alternatively move away and towards one another, as the various leg muscles of the user are being engaged by the user engagement means. The optional resistance means may be used to provide motion resistance.
SELF ADJUSTING ROLLER FOR USE WITH EXERCISE EQUIPMENT
A self-adjusting roller for user with an exercise machine includes a plate with apertures extending through the plate; a rotating connection extending from the plate, the rotating connection having a center body with a member extending therefrom and a support extending therefrom, the center body having a center axis around which the center body can rotate; a pin receiver coupled to the center body via the member; and a pin extending into the pin receiver, the pin receiver selectively supporting the pin in a locked configuration and in a free configuration. When in the locked configuration, the pin extends through a selected one of the apertures; and when in the free configuration, the pin is retained out of any of the apertures. A user engageable apparatus is coupled to the support.
DEVICE FOR THE TREATMENT OF THE MOTILITY OF QUADRUPLES
Disclosed is a device for the rehabilitation and treatment of traction in the walking dysfunctions of the animals and for the general training of the cardio-respiratory and muscular functions of animals. The device has a structure, at least one mechanism for stationary traction adapted to allow an animal to walk, at least one support member adapted to support the weight of the treated animal with at least one upright, at least one cross member fixed to the upright that extends substantially parallel over the structure, at least one bar fixed to the cross member, at least one lift tie rod, and at least one harness. The device is arranged to change and adjust at least one operating parameter so as to make the device adaptable to the size or pathologies of the animal to be treated.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR RESTORING VOLUNTARY CONTROL OF LOCOMOTION IN NEUROMOTOR IMPAIRMENTS
It is disclosed an apparatus for restoring voluntary control of locomotion in a subject suffering from a neuromotor impairment comprising a multidirectional trunk support system and a device for epidural electrical stimulation. The robotic interface is capable of evaluating, enabling and training motor pattern generation and balance across a variety of natural walking behaviors in subjects with neuromotor impairments. Optionally, pharmacological cocktails can be administered to enhance rehabilitation results. It is also disclosed a method for the evaluation, enablement and training of a subject suffering from neuromotor impairments by combining robotically assisted evaluation tools with sophisticated neurobiomechanical and statistical analyses.
