A stationary massage device, system and corresponding methods are used for self-administrated or assisted soft tissue strain release (including trigger point therapy, strain-and-counterstrain therapy and neuromuscular release). The massage device comprises a body, wherein the body may include branches, each having flat surfaces, edges, ridges or corners. The surfaces, edges and ridges may be pushed along the myofilament direction of the soft tissues to produce pressing, rubbing, stretching and pulling actions on the soft tissues as stripping massages. The system can be configured to form different geometric shapes, and made of different materials of different firmness. The system can be further configured to perform unheated, or heated massages; and cooling treatments. In addition to being used alone, the system can be mounted on a piece of wall, a standing frame, furniture or a garment.

DRY EYE TREATMENT APPARATUS AND METHODS
20200405534 · 2020-12-31 · ·

Dry eye treatment apparatus and methods are described herein which generally comprise a patch or strip affixed to the skin of the upper and/or lower eyelids to deliver heat or other forms of energy, pressure, drugs, moisture, etc. (alone or in combination) to the one or more meibomian glands contained within the underlying skin. The treatment strip or strips include one or more strips configured to adhere to an underlying region of skin in proximity to one or both eyes of a subject such that the one or more strips allow for the subject to blink naturally without restriction from the one or more patches. Moreover, the one or more strips may be configured to emit energy to the underlying region of skin and where the one or more strips are shaped to follow a location of one or more meibomiam glands contained within the underlying region of skin.

Apparatus and system for manipulating soft tissue

An apparatus and system for manipulating soft tissue may include a support member and a raised member. The support member includes a support surface disposed between a first end of the support member and a second end of the support member. The support member is elongated in a lengthwise direction between the first end of the support member and the second end of the support member. The raised member includes an outer surf ace disposed opposite an inner surface. The inner surf ace is supportable by the support surface of the support member. The outer surf ace of the raised member is configured to rotate along at least a portion of a user's body in response to movement of the raised member along the user's body. The raised member is repositionable along the support surf ace of the support member in the lengthwise direction.

CPR chest compression device with lateral support pad

A cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) device that includes a chest compression mechanism, a support structure, and a plurality of inflatable support pads. The chest compression mechanism is configured to deliver CPR chest compressions to a patient. The support structure includes a base member configured to be placed underneath a patient, and a leg configured to support the chest compression mechanism at a distance from the base member. The plurality of inflatable support pads are configured to provide lateral support to a patient's chest during use of the CPR device. Each support pad within the plurality of support pads includes a holder configured to retain and at least partially surround the adjacent support pad.

Bladder cushion, forehead cushion, headgear straps, headgear cap and/or chinstrap

A cushion for a patient interface includes two or more bladders arranged in concentric relation. Each of the bladders includes a face-contacting portion adapted to engage the patient's face, and each of the bladders is adapted to be pressurized independently from one another. At least one of the bladders is an active bladder that is pressurized to at least a sealing pressure to form a continuous seal with the patient's face in use.

Chest compression device

A chest compression device for cardiopulmonary resuscitation comprises a support structure 2 for placement about a patient's chest and for holding a chest compressor 6 above a patient's sternum; a chest compressor 6 mounted on the support structure 2; and lateral chest supports 14 attached to the support structure 2 at points laterally either side of the chest when the device is in use, such that the lateral chest supports 14 will apply lateral pressure to the sides of the chest synchronized with a chest compression by the chest compressor 6.

An exothermic natural massage shell includes a natural bivalve shell comprising a first half and a second half adhered together with an adhesive to form a hollow chamber. An aperture is formed in the first half to provide a portal to the hollow chamber of the bivalve shell. A reactant is disposed inside the hollow chamber of the bivalve shell. The reactant may be a reactive powder mixture disposed inside a fluid-permeable pouch. Combining the reactant with an activator inside the hollow chamber of the bivalve shell causes an exothermic reaction that heats the bivalve shell and maintains the bivalve shell at a substantially constant elevated temperature for a duration of time. The adhesive adhering the first shell half to the second shell half includes a first elastomeric polymer bonding agent with balanced coefficient of expansion properties and a second flexible resin sealant that makes the adhesive moisture-proof.
